The house was clean and well stocked. We appreciated the book of recommendations the owner made available. The neighborhood was safe and conveniently located.
Six of us stayed here one night on our way to Denver. The property was very cute, clean and in a nice neighborhood to walk to restaurants, etc. Our only concern is that the mattresses are not very firm. The basement room does have noise from floor above as well as from water pipes when bathrooms above are being used.
We had a wonderful time! The house was great! Plenty of room and nicely decorated! Loved sitting on the decks. Parking in front or a space in back. I have nothing negative to say! Weâd stay again for sure!
My sister and I stayed here for 10 days and had a great time. We've rented VRBOs all over the world and this one is truly one of the best. I was impressed with all the little necessities that were included -- like extra toilet paper, soap, shampoo, paper towels, dishwashing detergent, a well-equipped kitchen (although we did need a tea kettle, which we bought and "donated" to the house), great wifi and cable TV, and off-street parking. I have only two things to advise: First, the house is on 3 levels and there are a number of stairs to maneuver in between, so I wouldn't say that the house is very wheelchair adaptable. Second, the area where the house is located is being "gentrified -- lots of neat shops and restaurants, etc., are popping up around it. The house is located about 3 or 4 blocks off the main drag, though, which is a bit of a walk for us seniors!, so we drove a lot. The communication with the property owner was fantastic! Much appreciated! This is definitely a 5-star property!
This house was a good place to stay during our visit to Louisville. The kitchen was adequately furnished, the bedrooms were nice, and the balconies were wonderful. It appears to be an older home, so there were some charms that we encountered that were expected. The heating/cooling is uneven from level to level. The upstairs got hot, the basement got cold. There are fans and space heaters available to mitigate that issue. The electrical is aged, so some light fixtures didn't work or worked poorly. Noise travels through the house, but there was a noisemaker in one of the rooms and we brought some of our own. All windows had blinds, but they were not blackout blinds. The house was bright and sunny when the sun came up. Overall the house was pretty clean, but still found a bit of dust and cobwebs when we opened the blinds or looked under chairs for missing kid's toys. High contact surfaces, beds, and dishes were clean. It's the hard-to-reach places that need some love. The location of this rental is excellent. Street parking was plentiful, but I recommend the alley parking space, especially during peak traffic hours.
House is really great. Loved the theme throughout the house. Great location. Within walking distance of many breweries, restaurants and the the Nulu area. We loved all the recommendations by the owners. A great and helpful touch. Easy booking and excellent communication throughout our visit. Highly recommend and if we are ever in the area again would definitely stay here again.
We had a great stay. Plenty of space and accommodations. The balconies were nice, with a good veiw of the skyline. The house was very clean and smelled great. We will definitely be back.
Great location for all our plans which included bourbon tastings, Churchill Downs visit and shopping. Communication with property manager was within the hour. All of our needs were met. The home was comfortable for five adults. Bathrooms were nicely stocked. We will definitely return and/or recommend this house to friends.
The house was comfortable and clean. It is in a great location to visit local breweries and do sightseeing in Louisville. It comfortably sleeps six, but the sofa bed is not comfortable. If you go in winter, here are a few things to know: the bedroom in the basement is very cold, and you can hear people walking above. The heating system is loud, especially in the primary bedroom on the second floor. It woke me up most nights. Pack earplugs. It has plenty of room for a group and off-street parking behind the house. A few breweries and restaurants are within walking distance.
Loved the location ! Walking distance to many great breweries and restaurants. Also a short car ride to NuLu and Whiskey Row.
Perfect for 3 couples to explore Louisville and the KY Bourbon Trail
We really loved our stay and will definitely book again. The whole process was easy from beginning to end. The home is very clean and centrally located for our stay. However, the smell of the train is very undesirable if you're looking for a place to use the outside area.
