Lovely home base for a family holiday

My family stayed here for our annual holiday gathering, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The home was warm, inviting, well-furnished, and very comfortable. It was in a convenient location and all of us raved about how wonderful it was. We would definitely stay there again.

The house had everything that we needed. Clean, well stocked. Owner was excellent and quick to answer any questions. Hope to stay there again next year.

Great for a group!

Great layout w spread out rooms. Master Suite w huge dressing area and bathrm is nice to have for lots of people getting ready. Quiet neighborhood on dead end street. Owner was easy to contact and discuss questions with while we were there. Highly recommend for a large group.

Beautiful Home on a Quiet Street.

The home is absolutely beautiful and is well appointed. Furthermore, the beds were super comfortable. The home is located just a few minutes from both Churchill Downs as well as Whiskey Row. The property contact was super easy to work with and quite accommodating. I highly recommend this property and would rent this property again if we vacation in the area again.

Quirky house, fantastic location

Creaky old 3-story house missing some basic essentials (needed waste baskets in bathrooms, small tables to hold toiletries bags, more silverware) but right in the historic district, walking distance to fabulous old mansions and uniquely situated homes and parks. Easy drive to grocery shopping and activities. Enjoyed a long weekend there with my siblings.

I recommend having a car if you stay here. Highlight of the house was sitting around the fire in the backyard (you will need to go buy firewood). Once you park downtown you can walk to quite a lot.

Great location

Great location for downtown, restaurants, and Churchill Downs. We had a couple of problems - dead animal odor in the backyard which we covered up with air freshener and citronella candles, no shower curtain in tub bath (so couldn’t shower, only bath), broken dishwasher, and towels were clean but we finished drying them and hung them in bathrooms for our use. Very good nice place! We had plenty of room and it had the authentic antique Louisville feel.

Big, Classic House

We really enjoyed coming back to this quiet, dead-end street after a long day of exploring greater Louisville. This house is a short drive from both downtown and the airport, in opposite directions. Very convenient. We had more than everything we needed, including comfortable beds and enough bathrooms for our group of 5. There are some nice modern touches throughout the home, mixed in with reminders that the home is a classic. I recommend the home to all and would consider staying again when we return to Louisville.

This house was very cute and was big enough for all of us with plenty of rooms and bathrooms. No issues at all. My only thing wish was different is the way to get in and out. It came with a code for a lockbox to get the key out and with only 1 key and 6 of us it made it hard. Wish had a keypad entry

GREAT LOCATION

THE THREE STORY BRICK HOME WAS LOCATED MINUTES OFF THE HIGHWAY AND WITHIN 10-15 MINUTES OF MOST OF EVERTHING ELSE IN LOUISVILLE. THE HOME BEING ON A DEAD END STREET WAS ALSO A PLUS. THERE WAS NO STREET TRAFFIC. WE ENJOYED THE BACK YARD AND THE CHARCOAL GRILL. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS THE DOUBLE EDGED SWORD OF BEING SO CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT. GREAT FOR TRAVEL TO THE RESIDENCE BUT THE PLANES WERE LOUD AT TIMES. I WOULD RECOMMEND STAYING HERE TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

Good Location - Lots of Bedrooms and beds for the price.

The location was about 2-3 miles from downtown Louisville. Easy to get around and Ubers were pretty easy to get any time of day. Lots of bedrooms with large beds this place is great for large groups. There is two dollar stars across the street so it was easy to get groceries and within walking distance to Buck a nicer restaurant that had good food and a piano player for a reasonable price. No microwave on the property if you wanted to microwave anything you aren't going to. Overall it served the purpose and it was a good value.

Excellent for downtown L'ville and bourbon lovers

Excellent long weekend in Louisville! We visited for March Madness and bourbon fun with friends. Lots of bathrooms, street parking, and space to socialize a bonus. Property contact person is very responsive. We anticipated possibly walking downtown; not realistic but Lyfts are ample. Unique, colorful, comfortable home. If you need linens for kitchen/bed/baths look in laundry room. We lost power when using a hairdryer. Contact quickly told us to find circuit breaker box outdoors. FYI Microwave is in pantry under stairs. Kitchen is semi-well appointed, could use more glassware. Overall a great house for a large group wanting privacy as well as space to socialize together.

Such a wonderful rental

I've stayed in MANY rentals all over the world, this was by far the best. The first priority of a renter is safety. This place was VERY safe. Second, is the place clean. This place was clean as a pin. Third, it was such a beautiful and large property sufficient to accommodate the mini-family reunion. I would stay here again if I've more than 4 people joining as the place is perfect. If I were moving to Louisville, I'd offer to purchase the place.

Fantastic Stay

This Victorian house was awesome! We spent five days here over the Father’s Day Weekend. Worked in the mornings and explored Louisville the rest of the day. The property had everything we needed, especially space and great internet to do some work. The five adults were easily able to work independently and we had more than enough room to “spread out”. The home was clean and comfortable and located in a very convenient location: Old town Louisville! We were also close to Churchill Downs, Downtown, the airport and more importantly, the distilleries. Lots of games were made available and we and lots of fun playing many of them. Perfect in every way!

Pros: Location was very close to everything! Also we were 6 women traveling together and needed 6 separate beds. Cons: Cons: The pictures of this place look a lot better than it actually is. The house is a little tired looking and there are several walls (esp the third floor) that need painting and carpeting that needs to be cleaned. One set of sheets were stained looking. We also didn't have pillow cases on two of the beds. Never ended up using the kitchen.

What an awesome property this turned out to be. It was big, clean, comfortable and location was perfect. We spent most mornings working but ventured out in the afternoons and evenings. Lots of space and because of its size, we were able to find different parts of the house to work independently of each other. It really was like staying in our own home and close to downtown, Churchill Downs and the airport. You will not regret renting out this gem!

DIRTY and TIRED

The pictures look great - don't be deceived. The place is dirty, the furniture was stained beyond gross, the paint in places is peeling and filthy, the kitchen was disgusting, not well equipped nor inviting. LOOK SOMEPLACE ELSE!

Fun in Louisville

Overall, a great place to stay! Here are the pros and cons. Cons: Although shown in the pictures and indicated on the listing, there was No Outdoor Grill that we could find. In the move out instructions it was also called out. Broken Ice maker Pots and pans well used and some dirty on our arrival. The kitchen was missing some key items like a usable fry pan or any microwave dishes with lids. Dining room furniture collapsed while sitting on the bench. This is actually dangerous. Undefined Location of outdoor Garbage cans or recycling bins is confusing. They were in the alley. Off street Parking space was unavailable as there were 4 other cars parked out there. All couches visibly soiled and stained and generally not inviting. Halfway through our stay we found wet laundry in washer. I dried it and folded it and left it on the laundry shelf. This property is in the flight pattern of the airport on most nights. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep before midnight. Pros: Good linens, pillows. A home with lots of charm and character . Fun neighborhood. Plenty of indoor space. Good location, close to all attractions. We were always able to find street parking in front of the home.
