Beds were super comfortable. Pillows were awesome! Shower pressure was perfect. Hotel was in a great location to do the fun stuff we wanted to do.

Staff at front desk was excellent and very friendly. Our room is fine but in need of a good scrub in the bathroom and repairs in the closet door (large hole likely from the hotel room door banging into it). The faucet in the mini kitchen area literally came off in my hand and splashed water all over me and the counter. I wouldn’t stay here again unless we absolutely had to.

Rough room

Room was very lackluster and is either getting ready for a renovation or in the middle of one? Ceiling looked like it had major patch hastily done. Bed was hard as a rock. Room was lacking any decor so just felt very bare and unwelcoming. Door wouldn’t lock so had to keep struggling then it got stuck in the locked position while open so we couldn’t close it. Staff thou, very friendly!

Our stay was over 4 dsys and the room key had to be continuously reset. Multiple keys were provided but didnot make a difference. They also changed the door lock to no avail. Very frustrating.

A peaceful night

We stayed overnight on our route to Texas. Our room was spacious which allowed us to put down an air mattress for our children. The hotel had no more foldaway beds available. There were a few areas in the room needing repair, but not a big deal for one night. I slept so well on the firm mattress. I appreciated the bedbug encasements as well. Breakfast was a treat and I appreciated the turkey sausage option. The pool was clean and the staff was friendly. We'd stay again.

Usually great, but stay away from ice machine

I stay at this Wingate Inn several times per year and it’s such a good value that I don’t even check listings for other hotels. But this 1-night stay was awful due to one issue…the room was adjacent to the ice machine and soda machine that caused significant vibrations in the room. At 1:00 am, I asked to change rooms and they immediately complied with my request and they gave me a room far from these vibrating machines.

The staff did their best, overall, the property is average, no better. Breakfast was basic, the exercise room was ok, not really clean. Our bathroom was not very light and we had to hold the handle down for a minute on the toilet before it would flush. The bed was clean, I liked the cold lemon water in the lobby, and the staff tried to make everything as good as possible. The hotel is in a good location, close to good restaurants and other activities. Just don’t think it is better than average.
