I loved that it was out of the hustle and bustle of Lubbock. Very peaceful. I really was looking forward to the pool, but it was dirty and the hot tub had green water that smelled moldy.

When we checked on 7-21-25 around 5pm the reception person (name unknown) that checked us in was a poor representative of La Quinta. No greeting until I addressed her and then it was a "do you have a reservation?" Her inability to answer simple questions about our stay was a surprise. When we parked a man in the lot was standing near his truck and said his truck was broken into the night before. The next day the reception agent was Lauren. She was fantastic. Very helpful and polite. Lauren is a solid representative and doing a good job. The food in the morning was so so and guests had to ask for things like the milk being empty and the coffee needing refills. Lauren made this rating move up from terrible. Without Lauren there on day two I would have given the lowest rating on customer service.

Great stay, very clean

I thought the hotel was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean. Great shower. We even had a ceiling fan in our room, which helped us stay cool all night. The hotel called me only a few hours after I booked asking if I was going to make my reservation, even though I had done the online check-in. She asked me what time I planned to be there, even though I had done the online check-in. Odd.

Everything was good except i wasn't impressed with the breakfast. No preserves, jam or whipped cream for the waffles. Not a tragedy but due to the wait time to use the maker, I noticed it. Clean, comfortable, no view, but you don't get nice views in Lubbock anywhere. Will stay again.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The ceiling fan in the room has a main light that came on randomly 2 - 4 times each night waking you up. The fan would change speeds randomly as well. Breakfast options were not available 30 minutes before the end time.
