The check-in went well. Skyler was very nice. The Inn is well maintained, and clean. Our room was clean and comfortable. The sliding screen door was broken, so we reported it to Skyler.
We did some laundry there and Eliana (I hope I spelled it correctly?) was very friendly and helpful.
We ate at the restaurant for all our meals. The food was good, but the service was terrible. The servers were slow taking our orders and bringing our food and drinks. After the servers bring you the food, they never stop by the table again. We always had to flag one down to get more beverages, napkins, utensils, etc. The property needs to train their restaurant staff about customer service.
The room was as described. The morning view was as fantastic and a great view from our room and nearby. We arrived after hours but the staff communicated with us in advance and provided all necessary information to make for a seamless check. The room was clean and comforable as expected.
I read the reviews and chose this property for its review. This inn was dirty. When we walked in the smell of cleaning chemicals was overwhelming but I donât know why. I forgot my sandals so I walked barefoot. The floors are tile and they were so dirty that within 5 minutes my feet were black. That floor had never been washed. There were Cheerios and food wrappers under the bed from the last guests. The walls between rooms are so thin that you can hear the conversations around you. Not to mention the tv on all night. The decor is non existent in the rooms and the headboard wasnât even attached. Every time you turn it banged the wall. We had to put towels to stop it. There isnât an iron in the room and the hairdryer couldnât dry a childâs thin hair. The cooler is out in a common area instead of in room. We were on a 16 day trip and this place was the trainwreck of our stay. We ate at the restaurant one night. It was understaffed. Just 2 servers. They didnât have enough menus for all the tables so you needed to wait for someone to order to get your menu. The waitstaff were trying to be nice but they were on edge because they needed help. One of the waitstaff had to go in the kitchen to cook at one point. This place needs a lot of help.
This was our second stay at the facility, and we loved it both times! Very quaint and unique hotel with a great restaurant and bar attached. Love the location, ambiance and staff at all the facilities. Great kitchen common room and they now have TVs in the rooms! Hope we can come back again!
Wonderful location. We booked the king bed room with ocean view. The room had big windows overlooking the ocean. We had beautiful weather and a wonderful ocean smell. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The only reason I rated it a four instead of a five is the bed. It was atrocious. It's not a true king but two mattresses pushed together. They weren't even level so there was an uneven ridge in the middle. Both mattresses were hard and lumpy and the bottom was sagging when I checked under the bed to make sure we hadn't forgotten anything. I'd highly suggest the property invest in a new actual king bed. It's too bad because both my wife and I had pretty terrible sleeps but everything else about this motel was great.
The Inn is recently under new management and they strive to make your experience a comfortable one. Always pleasant and accommodating. We would definitely return for another stay.
We traveled from Houlton, Maine and stopped in Calais, Eastport and stayed the night in Lubec. The room had a nice view of the sunset. It was clean. The shared kitchen had free coffee and the attached restaurant food was fair but very slow service. It took our food 50 minutes to arrive after ordering. A few more food options in town about a 10 minute walk away. If you want to see the first sunrise in the US you need to stay in town. We visited Campobello the next day, it was 10 minutes away and worth the visit.
Love the Inn on the Wharf. We've been coming here for years. Love being able to have a nice meal at the restaurant, and being able to walk around the lovely town of Lubec. The accommodations all vary from the original rooms to the rooms on the hill. We love sitting out on the deck and enjoying the breathtaking, ever changing view of the ocean. Highly recommend.
This is a quirky and fun hotel located in a former Sardine Factory. Because it was a factory the layout is quirky but the Hosts are great and the views are gorgeous so one wants to stay in one's room all day just looking out at the sun rise through sun set over the water.
Room was more than expected.100+ years ago the building was where sardines were proceeded. Sun set was awesome, with the company of a Sea Lyon just off our balcony, who also joined us for breakfast. Quiet little town with good freindly people. Im sure we will head back again some day.
