The pictures of this property look great but when you see it in person you will be blown away. The amount of thought and detail that have been put into it is impressive. It is your own private oasis but also close to the walled city of Lucca. Enrico was so helpful, he gave us amazing recommendations for local restaurants and Florence. We really enjoyed staying here to celebrate our anniversary and would love to stay again in the future!
The villa and its lovely garden was exactly as shown on the website.
Our host Enrico was on site to meet us and showed us round and the welcome pack was much appreciated. He was quick to respond to any queries we had and gave us helpful suggestions for shopping and eating out.
We really enjoyed our weeks stay and the villa was well equipped and comfortable and the garden was such a lovely place to relax. The jacuzzi was also very welcome after a day out exploring.
It is located in a nice quiet neighbourhood with plenty of local buses or just a 20 minute walk to beautiful Lucca.
Thank you Enrico for a brilliant week!
This was the perfect base for our travels to Italy. The villa was a short walk to the city wall. We walked each morning to either the bakery, coffee shops or restaurants. The garden, itâs magic. We sat each morning with coffee in hand in the private garden overlooking the Tuscan hillside listening to the birds chirping. Itâs an entertainers dream. We were fortunate to host an evening in the garden for family and friends. It was lovely! This was an impromptu trip to visit family/friends and Enrico (the host) ensured all details of our stay were attended too; the wine, his motherâs homemade marmalade, directions & and instructions. He was very informative and responsive. Our stay was perfect. We look forward to returning. Lucca youâre a beauty!
We booked Enrico's house for a summer trip over to Lucca and it looked so amazing, and had such a lot of outdoor space we had to ask whether it was all private or shared because we couldn't quite believe it.
The property is an old smallholding with a farm building that has been completely overhauled so it feels more like a luxury hotel in Greece (beautiful concrete floors, lovely decor). The land is about 100m x 40m (so absolutely massive) and has been so amazingly landscaped we were taking tips - there's a bunch of different areas:
- a sunbathing area with 2 beanbag loungers and a small table and BBQ
- a shady pergola area with a huge table that can seat about 16 people (we were commenting it would be great for a party) and has lovely hanging outdoor chandeliers
- a hot tub area that you can pull the curtain across on to make it fully private that also has a dressing shed, outdoor showers and candelabra!
- a covered fussball table!
Enrico was also lovely and extremely helpful. This is a throwback to the early days of home rentals when you were actually staying in someone's loved property that they'd made for themselves - this is one of the coolest properties I've ever seen and also great for hot summer days because there's so many shade trees.
We loved it! (PS - this is an actual review, not a dodgy planted review :-))
