Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Pros: The gentleman on reception was nice and friendly and noticed I had crutches, and a dog, so moved us to a ground floor room, powerful shower, very little outside nose, bed reasonably comfortable, cheapest available accommodation in the area, services shops were in the style of a little street with a courtyard in the middle which was cute, £8 parking charge is not applicable if you enter your numberplate at reception.
Cons: Just very run down, looks like it's changed hands a few times (has perhaps been a Travelodge and an ibis) and had very little upkeep in-between, key cards have been replaced with key locks, which felt a bit flimsy and wobbly, found a hairy bobble on the bathroom floor, pot noodle in the sink plug hole, the skirting boards are filthy, blood stain on the bath towel, dirty marks on the duvet cover. Even though it was the cheapest place to stay in the area I wouldn't say it was cheap so was a lot to pay for the quality.
We didn't complain because we felt like all the rooms were probably a similar quality and were just exhausted so put up with it. We fixed things ourselves or didn't use anything unclean. It was just somewhere to crash for the night, have a quick wash and be off again, and for that it served it's purpose.
