The hotel was good. The room was big and comfortable. Hot shower and well located very close to the train station, shops and restaurants. The only negative thing was the noise from outside but maybe thereâs no escape being in that area - the train passes in front of the hotel.
The place was a little more rundown than expected. My room served it's purpose but there's no AC or fan, a tv but no remote. the bathroom was locked & I had to get staff to unlock it & they seemed annoyed at me for it. There was supposed to be a continental breakfast but I left my room a few time & could not find it & the small lobby had it's lights off. Not a great stay but it was 1 night thankfully
A nice small town place to stay, near to the train station and town square. Clean with hot water 24 hour availability. A plus it is located near to the rapids river from one side and the train tracks on the other side. Free very nutritious breakfast. Couldn't ask for a better location and good quality place.
It was excellent! For the price of a hostel dorm, you have a room with hot showers and hot food made whenever you request it (within the breakfast schedule). I understand why other reviews were saying itâs damp - but youâre in a rainforest.. itâs going to be humid. Staff was really friendly and very accommodating! You can store your stuff here while you go to Machu Picchu and come back for it (no need to pay to store your luggage up there). Soap was also provided! Location was perfect, right in the middle of town. The train could be a little noisy, but nothing earplugs canât tune out; and if youâre tired from travelling you wonât hear it at all (I didnât).
