Property was pristine and met all of our standards. Middleton is a great suburb to Madison and close proximity to restaurants! Note: the owners must live in the bottom half of the house and were around quite a bit which kind of infringed on our privacy. We had a great stay overall.

Lovely Beyond Words

This is a fantastic spot. We really can’t do this rental justice, but we’ll give it a shot. We were in town to help our daughter relocate to the area. She and her roommate spent some time with us in the house during the transition along with her 18 year old brother and his friend to help with heavy lifting. The owners of this home have included so many thoughtful & generous touches, it’s impossible to name them all so we’ll note what was most valuable to us. The availability of coffee choices (tea too), including powdered creams and sugar options. I believe we ate every snack bar provided for us. Robes in every bedroom along with mirrors and ample light in every bedroom and throughout the house made sharing one bathroom easy to navigate. The backyard and deck are absolutely beautiful and pristinely maintained, and we’re sorry we didn’t have more time to take advantage of that. Our teenagers loved the smart speakers, especially in the bathroom so they could listen to their music while showering. Coming here is like staying with family that wants you to have everything you could possibly need but also family that offers you complete independence and privacy. Again very difficult to put into words, but this is a wonderful spot. One of the best we’ve experienced.

Summer weekend

A beautiful home! This house is exactly how it’s presented in the listing- spacious, modern and beautiful. Immaculately clean and comfortable. We spent the weekend here visiting our daughter who attends UW Madison. We had a fire in the bonfire pit one evening, which is a great feature! John and Maria were wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful with great communication! We would absolutely stay here again!

Awesome family friendly house!

This is one of the best rental homes I've ever stayed in! The owners were super accommodating and everything was labeled clearly. We stayed with a toddler and there were ample toddler toys and games, kid friendly cups and plates, and they even installed a baby gate at the top of the stairs. The neighborhood was great and quiet, with easy parking. Overall awesome, and we would love to stay here again!

Perfect in Every Way

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt pampered due to how well the house is prepared for guests. The home has all the modern conveniences and appliances, comfortable seating in dining room, living room, and deck. We spent each evening on the deck which overlooks a well kept yard with a firepit (we did not use). The kitchen island also has seating which we used. Electric kettle for tea prep plus two coffee makers, K-cups provided with the Keurig. Comfy beds, nice linens/towels, large closet with bathrobes provided, bathroom stocked with toiletries and hairdryer. We wanted for nothing. It was perfect in every way and we'd gladly return for another vacation.

Lovely stay

We had a great time at Villa Azul. Maria was tolerant of the kids making noise from time to time, and the location was great. The home had everything we needed, including games and movies and internet streaming options. Tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and plenty of linens and blankets/towels.

Vila Azulejo was such a great place to stay. The house was perfect for our needs. Everything was very accommodating. John was very helpful when we had questions! Great area too. If we ever come back to Madison, we will definitely stay here again!

Fabulous place

John’s place is wonderful: clean, well outfitted, and nicely decorated and furnished. We stayed here to have a place to host family while we visited. It was perfect for this, with a nice and well-supplied kitchen, plenty of room inside, and a big backyard with fire pit to gather around. Definitely met or exceeded our expectations in all respects.

Villa Azul

I have rented a fair amount of VRBO’s and I have to say that this one had everything you could possibly need. Its kitchen was stocked with kitchen wear (all you need if you’re planning to cook there). It was a beautiful space and was perfect for our family gathering. It’s in a great location (near restaurants and grocery). John was awesome- so accommodating, helpful and a great communicator! I highly recommend this property.

Sweet little house.

We so very much enjoyed our stay in Middleton. This listing is a real gem. I am a regular VRBO Vacationer. Even after the best stays, I can always provide some constructive criticism. But in this case I can’t think of any. The home is warm and inviting, as was the owner. John has gone out of his way to provide all the little extras in making their home and the guest’s stay as appealing as possible. The home itself, is classic mid-century American Suburban. But John and his wife have gone to great lengths to refurbish and maintain this home. Everything is updated and well maintained. Floors, walls, exterior everything. Our son works at nearby Epic. We try to get out to visit once a year. I have no doubt I will return to this sweet VRBO.
