We stayed for 4 nights in July. It was a great set-up there! The cabin was very clean and well stocked with the stuff we needed- beach towels, toilet paper, bedding, etc. The beach was awesome to have- it was a little rocky so I would suggest some water shoes. The water was also a bit green but that is normal for lakes this time of year and didn't affect our swimming! We fished and caught quite a few bass off the dock. There is a park about half a block down which was very well maintained and my kids had a blast. My only critique is that there aren't many storage containers for food. Would have been nice to have some Rubbermaid's for storing left overs. The a/c worked great, fridge, stove etc did too! The lake was not busy- probably the busiest Saturday night but maybe 3-5 boats out on the lake so it was pretty quiet. We had a fire our last night in the fire pit. No mosquitos- a few flies but nothing too bothersome!
In town we went to some thrift stores, Herman Lake State Park (lots of playgrounds!), fished, and shopped at a few stores. My son has asked multiple times when we can go back!
