MH Apartments are good for a budget, but left some to be desired. They allow late check-in, but the process is done on an extremely slow computer in the lobby, which declined my credit card 3 times. I had to call customer service, who told me the card must have a PIN. Why would I be expected to use a debit card all of a sudden when it was not used or mentioned during the booking process? Who uses a debit card to pay for a hotel? Completely nonsensical, they should pay for a system that works.
There was a fire alarm going throughout the entire building for nearly 2 hours. A deafening, high pitched sound. Guests had no idea what was going on & were not contacted. Upon calling customer service, was told “someone is coming to turn it off,” which did not happen for at least another hour.
It was late November with temperatures in the 30sF, yet the thermostat was locked onto the cool setting. We could not have heat the entire stay, it was frigid in the apartment the whole time. I had to keep the towel rack on to frequently warm my hands up.
As they are trying to teeter between short-term rental & hotel to reap the benefits of each, there is a front desk but never anyone at it to help. They do not provide housekeeping, yet they only supply 2 tiny trash bins in the kitchen, none in the bedrooms, & a small amount of towels & toilet paper. Also, the shower floods very easily, overflowing before it can drain.
Positives - it was clean, it had outdoor views and a small balcony.
