This is our second year staying here for a spring skiing weekend with our family, including the dog. We love this accommodation - it's spacious and comfortable. We were able to alternate remote work with ski sessions, with plenty of room to spread out and relax. So convenient to Canyon Lodge! We prepared almost all of our meals at home thanks to the well-stocked kitchen. Comfy beds, roomy double-sink bathrooms, places to stash ski-gear inside, washer/dryer, indoor parking, and pet friendly -- everything we wanted, and more. Thank you!
The front door lock is terrible please change.

This 2br condo has potential of a good stay but fell short of expectations. The check in process was fine and directions clear. It was on the second floor of a condo complex in a row of multiple complexes. It was roomy and has an elevator from the parking area. The kitchen is well stocked and laid out. The bedrooms were fine. It could use some updating in the furniture and tv. It was difficult to sleep at night because it was so warm in the room. We were there at the end of June. There was a thermostat but only for decoration; it did nothing. There was a fan provided but could not cool the condo to lower than 82 degrees with all the windows open. The âpoolâ was not much bigger than the spa and the fire pit was boarded up. This could be a nice stay in the winter.
On our last day we were awakened to a lot of work going on outside at around 7:00 AM. By 8:00 the workers were pouring asphalt in the driveway to re-slurry it. Our car was trapped from leaving until ânoonâ the worker said. There was no communication about this upcoming work. We could have parked across the street had we known and started our day as planned.
The property is old with many things not working properly, the dishwasher, faucet, door lock, also foosball, and sauna in common area. The management is strict and cold and totally devoid of personal touch, which made a huge difference in the perception of hospitality. People put up with all these things because of the high seasonal demand. We always have wonderful experiences with other similar rentals because of the hospitality factor, they are usually hosted by owners. This management company certainly left a bad taste for us and made us want to go elsewhere next time
Parking was easy, and secure. Great location with a bus stop nearby to get around. Nice finishes inside, looks to have been recently updated. The tv is small which was fine with us, has everything you need to enjoy a stay and cook at the condo.
Location was excellent, garage parking was great, and is pet-friendly. Overall the condo was nice. We had minor issues with ceiling leaks (after 350â+ of snow), bees (3 all easily swatted) and the door lock. Almost all the front room lighting is cool white which is so very bright. Felt like a rental being cleaned but not maintained. The location is everything and would stay at Silver Bear again.
The location is great, and the unit was clean. Parking is great as is the use of an elevator and luggage cart made moving so easy. The 4 stars vs. 5 overall is due to the somewhat limited supplies and TV. While the basics are there it was not equipped all that well, having 1 kitchen towel, no hot pads, 1 wine glass etc, along with a standard def TV that is small than most computer monitors is the only reason for 4 star.
This beautiful condo was perfect for our family and our puppy. The garage parking was a God-send as 3 feet of snow dumped while we were there. In addition, the surprise luggage carts made getting our belongings from the car to the unit a breeze. I've never seen luggage carts at a rental - It was awesome. The unit had everything we needed and was super clean. We would definitely stay there again.
This pet-friendly condo was the ideal place for our family. Very convenient to Canyon Lodge lift. Very spacious and well outfitted unit. I would stay here again if I came back.
The property is cute and nicely decorated. We loved having the garage parking during this visit. The down side was dirty dishes in the cabinets, broken dishes. What would prevent us from staying here again is the level of noise you hear from the property above this unit. If you are wanting a quite stay this may not be the place. Overall a cute place.
Stayed at this property #22. The check in process was flawless. However, the property itself, did not meet our expectations. There is construction going on in the hallways. The elevator was wonky and the door closed on us through out the stay. I've never stayed at a property where I had to clean it myself. The dining table and furniture was dusty. What really grossed me out is the couch. There was a lot of dog hair all over the couch. I had to clean it with my lint remover. The hot water ran out after a while. The pool was very tiny and there was a cover on it. The dishes were starched. Overall, very disappointed. This place can be better taken care of.
This condo is a really a lovely space with tons of room. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need. The living room is a bright and cozy space - couches are comfy and the fireplace is lovely. The bedrooms are dark, quiet and comfortable. The bathrooms are also enormous with tons of storage space. The parking is also very convenient in an underground lot that must be heated because it was never cold. And itâs a very short walk to the elevator and the unit itself from your parking spot.
My suggestions are very minor â it would be nice to have a dresser in the second bedroom as there was no where to put clothing except the nightstand. Both closets should be cleaned out of the extraneous and unwanted pillows and other things. In the mornings the noise from the unit above us was loud enough to wake us up when they were simply walking around, but luckily we were getting up around the same time as them so it wasnât a huge deal. Note that itâs a solid 10 min walk to Canyon. And uphill for part of the way both coming & going. My husband would just drop us off with his equipment and then run the car back and walk over. Itâs VERY easy to get in and out of the garage at Silver Bear so this was a great option for us and did not take too long.
We came in at the end of a storm and the management was extremely helpful and accommodating when we weren't sure if the 395 was going to open and we'd be able to get there as planned. We also had one minor maintenance issue and they responded IMMEDIATELY. and followed up first thing the next morning to make sure it had been resolved.
This is a great condo overall â donât hesitate to book it. We really enjoyed our stay.
The reviews are a little harsh on this place. We were happily surprised! The condo is spacious, clean and nice, and when the wifi wasn't working, I get help immediately from the 800 number to reset it. Unfortunately, the community game room and pools are closed due to Covid so plan accordingly. The only other thing to mention is that you need to bring your own laundry detergent otherwise you have everything you need including a fan.
Older but pretty place inside, but noisy and no A/C!
We spent three days at this place and it was not terrible but the patio was dirty with a bunch of little debris. The closets on both rooms were filled with extra duvets and pillows and there is zero room for one to hang clothes and also no help came after we complained abou this and asked for hangers, all to no avail. The place is also next to a busy road so itâs noisy. The worse problem was the lacking A/C and when we complained we were given one plastic stand alone fan. We were all boiling all night.
Also the place has no curb appeal and the outside is very disappointing with dirt and a underground garage... and when we asked for a late checkout we were told the best they would do was 10:00 (it was 10:30 when I called) and even though the agent said we needed to leave they never came before 12 which was when we actually left the cabin! (We were loading the car for a while and walking the dog etc, we left at 11 but no one came and the management could have worked with us but did not want to.
Listing says it can sleep 6-7, but it really can only sleep 4. In general, the management company doesn't have a close eye on the property. One evening we ran out of hot water. I left a message with management company and somebody was sent out an hour later. The owner didn't provide the management company with keys to the hot water closet and so 2 of our family members couldn't take showers (after 3 hours we still didn't have hot water). The company never followed up with us the next day as promised, but did text me to ask about plumbing issues to help them with another property down the hall-apparently this entire property has frequent plumbing issues.
Tv didn't work. Just no extra touches to make it feel warm and welcome, like when a property is owned by an independent owner and not managed by a company. All that said, it's a great location and has a nice corner view of the mountain at sunrise.
