There was hardly any noise from outside considering the hotel was located at an airport and near a main road. Minor noise from doors closing in the building but that was to be expected. The room had all the essentials and I had no problems with the room other than it was right at the end of the corridor, but this also meant hardly anyone was passing by and making noise. It was a long walk from the terminal but mostly via an indoor walkway. Not much choice for food but the Firin restaurant in the next hotel was great, and it offered 15% discount for Ibis Budget guests. The breakfast buffet had the usual offering but I had to ask staff to replenish items. Check-in and check-out was easy.

The Ibis in Manchester had a very central location which was convenient, but the room itself was small and quite basic. It was fine for a short stay, though not ideal if you are looking for extra comfort.

The rooms were tiny. Breakfast was cleaned away by 10am. Most things on the breakfast had run out, no orange juice and coffee machine not working. Extremely poor. Person on desk unhelpful.

Average stay in a good hotel

The hotel itself is in an incredible location - easy access from the train station at the airport and near to the terminals too - took about 10 minutes to get to my terminal in the morning which was great. Also a good location having the nearby shop and fast food places in the arrivals terminal. The welcome was great, greeted with a smile and a swift and speedy check-in process meant I was in my room 5-10 minutes after walking through the front door. Some good information around about places to eat and Hotels.com had sent lots of pre-arrival information. The room itself was a good size, had the amenities that would be needed and the telly had lots of channels. The bathroom was modern, clean and easy to use - the shower pressure wasn’t great but sometimes I guess you expect that in some hotels, due to the amount of people using them. The pillows were incredibly comfortable however the bed itself was quite frankly awful. Every time I moved, even just moving an arm or a leg, the whole bed would squeak and the noise was extremely loud. There were points through the night that the noises from the bed woke me up and when you’ve got a 6am flight to catch, you need a good nights sleep - this simply didn’t happen. Room 108 needs the bed replacing immediately!

Great hotel for early flight the next day. Room was small but it didn’t matter that much. The vending machines in the lobby were a bit confusing to use but other than that I would stay here again.
