The room condition was fine and staff were courteous, but the location itself was remarkably noisy, with the sound of glass clashing in the streets as early as 6AM, and the breakfast was probably one of the poorest quality cooked "buffet" breakfasts I've experienced. The whole stay didn't seem worth the price, in all honesty. I have a feeling prices were hiked due to awareness of the Birmingham University graduation ceremonies happening on the date we stayed...

The room was very clean but very hot and the air conditioning didn’t work. We paid for a late check out but had to go to reception twice as the key card had been deactivated. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. On the Friday evening the bar and restaurant were shut for a private party. We were not made aware of this prior to our arrival which was very disappointing as we had planned to eat there.
