This place seems to be a destination resort for local families wanting to visit Newport City, a pleasant shopping & restaurant rich area that happens to be so near the airport that a walking tube exists from T3. There are many families with children playing in the swimming pools. The 'villas' are equiped w/ kitchenette. It is less, a hotel for airport layovers. The price is fair because it is fairly clean, but worn. Also, it took 20 minutes(in a warm, sticky entry area) to check-in because the security guards could not figure out my room #.
I was in a Unit in Block C and my mates were in units in Block B and ALL three units were absolute dumps. The AC in my unit didn't work so it was roasting hot both days. There were missing light bulbs in the unit leaving it very dark and dingy at night. The water in the shower never got hot. The water from the bathroom sink came out in a trickle. The bed was SO uncomfortable and disgusting with tattered sheets with stains. And the cockroaches were everywhere even though they had traps in every corner and a can of spray on the counter. To add to all of that the pool was empty, dirty, and disgusting, and the gate guards at the property were completely useless and harassed everyone that tried to come to the property. Spend a few more dollars and stay at the Belmont which is even closer to the airport than this dump.
View on highway. A lot of car traffic, noisy, a lot of motorcycle. Sounds and construction going on starting at 1 am. Bike Sounds echoing between buildings like your in a tunnel.
The room was great. However there was a pool of water coming from the room across the hall. I told the lady who's name starts with a K at the front desk about it and she seemed indifferent about it. She said it would be taken care of. It was still there when I returned that night. And still there the next morning. Finally in the afternoon they opened to room and one of the appliances were leaking from the room into the hallway.
