This condo is in one of the best locations in the BGC area. It is indeed just an elevator ride (as it claimed) to the Venice Grand Mall, with a connecting door that leads to the mall's main entrance. The name "Gavin's Crib," however, confused everyone, including the cab driver and the mall's security guards. Having been dropped at the main entrance to the Venice Grand Mall, I had to walk to the side of the mall and ask several people, including 3 security guards, before I was finally pointed to the right building. With no easy way to communicate with the property manager, I had a confusing check-in, a frustrating time operating the condo's air conditioning unit, and an even more irritating time finding the unit's router to connect to Wi-Fi. Despite the frustrating check-in experience, I still consider this property an excellent value given its price, location, and the complete kitchen amenities, including a washing machine (no dryer). Guests, however, should be aware that, as in many condo units, the building apparently uses some cleaning chemicals with a strong smell that linger in the hallways and elevator banks. This unit also could use some bug spray to prevent small bugs that sometimes come out in the kitchen area.
