Room was nice, although it was missing a lot of basic necessities. No trash can liners, no hand soap for the bathroom, no conditioner, ran out of soap and coffee even after asking the front desk we never received them. Wasn’t aware of the pool policy to close at 6 so that was also extremely disappointing, along with only 1 pool that kids were allowed in out of the 5 advertised

Where to start? The coffee maker was dirty when we arrived, there were lipstick stains all over the cups in the cupboard, and a cockroach in the bathroom. There was what looked like blood on the wall and on the bathroom door upstairs. The resort fee is supposed to cover things like bikes and the tennis courts, but there were no bikes and no one to ever help us with the tennis. The put put golf was in horrible shape. The pools shut down at dark (5:30pm), which made it impossible for us to actually use the pool when we returned from our daily adventures. The one day we used it, their grounds crew spent the entire time leaf blowing and trimming everything which was not enjoyable. The trash truck came at 6:30am. The front desk staff was amazing, but everyone else seemed incredibly bothered that we were even there. The price of food and coffee is insane. The resort store did not have anything budget friendly. This was the second time we have stayed here (was much better five years ago), and we will not be coming back again.

We had drilling equipment parked in front of our room the whole stay and the workers were working and it was quite disruptive. I called for housekeeping 4x and they never came. We used pool towels for bathing.

Room was good and resort itself was decent. Scored low because we ONLY booked there bc of family friendliness, kid pools and activities. There was ZERO indication, despite a bunch of online research and calls to the property, that the kid pool area was under construction and not usable at all. Also, we signed up to bring the kids to an art class. Paid the extra money and were then told that we had to stay there with the kids. Feel bad for the staff bc they are obviously frsutrated having to deal with guests that feel hoodwinked. Anyway...bottom line...do NOT visit w kids if you are planning on using the kid facilities without 100% confiming that they are done w construction and its open. Hawks Cay - do better by being transparent.

The condition of the rooms, ie; air conditioning, humidity and heat where an ongoing issue, so much so the floors where wet everyday. The housekeeping staff was less than adequate. However on the upside Salt and Ash and Angler and Ale were great! I special shout out to the resturant staff, Johnny, Hendry and all the manangement were wonderful and selectively I would give 10 stars to each member!

Zero food if you don’t have reservations. They will tell you to go to the angler restaurant which is a little walk and then you will wait for your food like everyone else for 2hours plus. The hotel was nice for 2-3 days only we ended up cutting our trip short and going to key west because the hotel and food was an issue.

Unacceptable room conditions and deceptive service Our stay at Hawks Cay was a series of disappointments. Upon check-in, we found black mold near the AC vent and a heavy mold smell. It took 4 hours to be relocated. On day 3, our toilet flooded, and the hot water vanished—leaving my son shivering in the shower after only one minute of lukewarm water. While maintenance fixed it once, the hot water failed again for the final two days. To top it off, checkout was a disaster. We were promised credits for resort and parking fees if we showed our Amex booking, but the staff member who made the promise disappeared. The replacement staff member denied the policy existed and was dismissive when I tried to show proof. No apology, no credit, and zero accountability. Very disappointing for a "resort" experience.

property is nice, but they dont have it in good conditions, very disappointing service, beginning with mannager with bad attitude with our celiac allergy. The mattresses were horribly uncomfortable and the ceiling fans all made clanking sounds. The heated main pool was fantastic. The views were pretty nice. The food was good but expensive, the coconut ice cream at Angler and Ale that is used for the banana split was the highlight of our trip! The lagoon was absolutely nothing special at all, felt like being near a pond. Overall it was pleasant but not worth the drive.
