A truly gorgeous property with amazing hosts. The attention to detail in this cottage is exceptional, and these hosts have thought of everything when it comes to guest comfort - from amazing linens/bedding, to temperature systems (I’ve never stayed in an older home with COOL 2nd floor bedrooms!) to fans in every room. The cottage is well located in Lakeside and our family had such a great stay!

Darrin & Stacey provided everything for a memorable week @ Lakeside. From the deluxe bedding to the complimentary wine and coffee- the modern kitchen and furnishings made for a relaxing vacation for our multi- generation family. The location was an easy walk to the park, lake, and all activities.

Beautifully updated and perfect location!

Every square inch of this modernized cottage was thoughtfully designed. From the luxury bedding to the espresso machine, no detail was overlooked. This lovely space served our family of 5 well during our stay. We especially loved the dishwasher and laundry, and that our host provided linens, towels, and all other sorts of surprises that made us feel so welcome. Comfortable, beautiful, and functional. Hospitality at its finest!

The chicest Lakeside abode

Our second stay in the 111 was just fantastic. What a gem of a property that stands out against a slew of homier (okay, fine, outdated) options within this special community. All of the touches are just so tasteful, and as fellow short term rental owners we always end up stealing ideas from the 111. It really feels like a hotel stay but with the option of using a great kitchen when needed. I cooked a feast for 25 in there
the stove and oven are awesome. We look forward to a third stay sometime down the line.

Luxury Meets Cozy

This was our second stay at The 111 and it won't be our last. The cottage elevates your traditional Lakeside stay into something special with carefully curated décor, well appointed amenities, and low-key luxury. The hosts have seen to every detail while effectively and unobtrusively communicating with their guests. The linens, the appliances, cozy seating, the toiletries all combine for comfort and convenience. It's like staying inside a jewelry box steps from Ohio's most beautiful mile.

Cozy and Charming Lakeside Cottage

This property is very well maintained and you can tell that the owners go out of their way for their guests. Lakeside is also great for children. This cottage was perfect and made for a great getaway!

Perfect Lakeside Getaway

The hosts have gone above and beyond to make this an upscale and comfy Lakeside getaway. The well-designed home has excellent aesthetics and amenities like a fully-equipped kitchen, comfy beds, board games and a relaxing screened porch. It's the little things that set it apart - toiletries, plenty of towels, stocked laundry facilities, complimentary coffee and tea. These small touches made our stay extra enjoyable! The hosts were prompt in replying to all our inquiries, making it a perfect week in Lakeside and close to all of the action like the Auditorium, Patio Donuts, dock and park. We couldn't have asked for more.

Wonderful Week

We loved this lakeside home. We typically stay at the Lakeside hotel but with two small children we needed a little more room this year. The kitchen and bathroom amenities were wonderful. All clean and natural products were much appreciated. We loved the screened in porch and open living space. You can tell a lot of love and thought went in to designing and restoring this home.

Continues to exceed expectations

This is our second summer at The 111. There was a part of me that wondered if I had romanticized the cottage from the memory of our last trip - but it truly is just that wonderful! I love this cottage so much. The details, the design, the extras, the linens, the beds, the sofas and light fixtures- the screened in porch and location - I love everything. The hosts have created such an exceptional space in Lakeside to relax, to read to enjoy family time in a comfortable, clean, incredibly well maintained cottage. This year’s stay was just as awesome as last year! Thank you for every last little luxury detail you think to include. See you soon!

Amazing Lakeside Cottage! Best stay we’ve ever had!

In almost ten years, this is the first time we found at Lakeside, that as beautiful as the photos are, they don’t even do the property justice. From the communication with the owners, to our arrival and every little detail leading up to our departures, we were beyond pleased! Darrin met us at the cottage with complimentary welcome gifts and a gift certificate to our favorite morning tradition at Lakeside, The Patio doughnuts! This cottage feels like a work of art but yet, manages to provide the coziest, most comfortable setting to enjoy your stay. No detail is forgotten in the design and functionality. Anyone who has stayed at Lakeside knows it’s difficult to find an elevated place to stay with updated amenities. THIS is it. The beds were amazing, sheets incredible, coffee delicious, shower wonderful, vintage board games so fun to play

Sparkling Gem of a Cottage

This beautiful, newly renovated cottage elevates the usual Lakeside stay to boutique-hotel quality. Luxury linens, sparkling chandeliers, high-end appliances, the latest TV tech, comfortable furnishings combine with the perfect location -- close to the action, but on a quiet street. Top-notch accommodations for your Lakeside getaway. The Hoovers are spectacular hosts.

Where to start
 Well, everything about this home is amazing!!!

The hosts have put a considerable amount of effort to renovate and make this rental one of the best in Lakeside, Ohio. The home layout is very well done to accommodate 6 and has a great sense of design and aesthetic throughout. Amenities were all fantastic, plenty of pans, dishes and cups for all. Beds were amazingly comfy, and a thick comforter made it a great night sleep. Provided board games kept the kids busy while prepping a meal and the screened in porch is an amazing place to sit and relax after a full day of activities. Aside from the design, It’s the smaller amenities that really stood out to us. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, bodywash. There was plenty of towels for all, and the washer/dryer was fully stocked with detergent/dryer sheets. There was coffee, tea and honey sticks to use. Hand wipe packets and facial packets were also in several places. It’s small stuff but it made the trip that more fun! Most importantly the hosts responded quickly to all messages we sent (even when we sent many to find out details). I couldn’t imagine a better stay!
