The property itself is fine. It was clean. The elevator did not work most of our stay. There was a lot of construction going on at the property so nap time with little people was hard. For part of our stay the hot water wasnât functioning due to construction on the floor. As well as, our door stopped working and we were locked out of our room. The location was great. Close to other resorts and restaurants.
The location of the unit was great. Itâs a short walk to the beach and pool and parking garage. The unit itself is very worn. The walls have lots of scuff marks, peeling paint on the trim, and even some holes. The bathroom sink had peeling caulk, the shower had lots of areas of mold on the grout lines. While the bed was comfortable and clean, there was a lot of dust in the corners of every room, especially the bathroom, as well as dust on all the floor trim and light switches. The balcony is nice and does have a view of a bit of the ocean. The balcony is right over the back entrance of the building by the pool, so there is a lot of traffic there and thus some reduced privacy. Frequently the elevators would not work so we had to use the back service elevator. Overall we enjoyed the beach, however would not choose to stay in this unit again.
We experienced some issues with the property. Walked into room and went to the bathroom, door handle fell off French door to the bathroom. Used the toilet. Toilet would not work for approximately 24 hrs. This all happened within the first 5 minutes in the room. We had to go find bathrooms in public areas in middle of night. 2 nights later, the smoke detector batteries expired and we listened to âlow batteryâ voice and beep every 10 minutes for half the night. Obviously couldnât sleep. The toaster handle/knob was broken. The sliding door does not lock. We had to battle with the customer care reps to get paper towels, toilet paper, and a blanket. The big sticking point seemed to be the paper towels. We were told that is why extra toilet paper was left in the room? Really? We were told repeatedly when we asked hotel staff for supplies to call Vacasa. We were denied early check-in approximately 4 times and I had to stay with my rental vehicle for approximately 4 hours straight to avoid getting towed from other lots (were not allowed into the parking garage). One knob on the stove is different that the other three. It was difficult to tell if the burner was set to the correct temperature. We appreciate that the room was clean and air conditioner worked well until Saturday morning. It became very humid in the room. The register vents were clean but the furnace/ac filters were very dirty. Please make sure that I get a refund for a minimum of two nights stay.
