This cabin was the most cozy cabin we have ever stayed in in North Carolina. This was the first time weâve ever stayed in a place that had every thing we could possibly need to use and then some. We were fortunate enough to get a lot of snow, and the driveway and the roads gave us no problems. The host is a very efficient communicator and everything was exactly as described. We will be coming back again and staying at this cabin.
This place was everything I imagined and more! The cabin was very cozy, with lots of thought and care having gone into the decorating process. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook every meal. The bed was very comfortable, the linens were soft. I would 100% stay here again if we visit Wolf Laurel in the future.
This home is so peaceful! We loved staying in this home nestled in the treetops. Our family of four was very comfortable and the home had everything we needed. Communication with the owners was great!
We rented this cabin because it is very close to the ski slopes. It is clean and has everything you will need for a short stay providing that you will bring your food and drinks because the nearest grocery store is 9 miles away We had plumbing problems , leaking water all over the bathroom floor.we reported it to the homeowner. If you are going to Hayley point to sky it is 5 stars
We truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was perfect for us (parents and adult daughter). We particularly enjoyed having access to the amenities center where we played pickleball and used the pool. We also loved the access point in the community for the hike up to the top of Big Bald.
Property managers Daniel and Natalie were wonderful. When we couldnât get the upstairs air conditioner to work on the first evening, Daniel came to the property to re-set it within 45 minutes of sending him a message through the VRBO app.
Cabin is a little rustic, which is exactly what we expected. Kitchen had everything we needed and we appreciated having the gas grill as well. Remodeled bathroom is lovely.
We would definitely return to Wolf Laurel and this cabin.
This was our familyâs first visit to Asheville and this cabin was perfect for us and our girls. The location was gorgeous and private, the place was clean, and our hosts were so wonderfully accommodating and responsive. We had a great time going on hikes and visiting local attractions, but our girls kept asking us to go back to the âtreehouseâ. They were willing to spend the whole vacation just playing in the cabin, looking for deer and picking wildflowers that grow all around the property. Weâre planning on coming back in the winter to take advantage of the ski slopes! Thank you for making this such a memorable trip.
Nice location and great layout! Windows need to be cleaned as they are called with dirt and mold (outside only). The beds were very comfortable! It had a big Fireplace but the managers need to clean it out before each use.
Nice location, nice place
However
1. Was there for New Years looking forward in using the fire
place to celebrate New Year a bit cold as well. However NO
wood available close by. Called owners was told to go into
town, however place roads are to dark and not safe to go
out at night not practical.
I believe we would not mind paying extra for this. However
fireplace was a waste. No able to use. Need to have this
offered and available that is why we stay in the woods in a
cabin. Or just bring wood with you. No stores are close.
2. Coffee maker Krueg not a regular one. Would be good to
include details on coffee maker and fireplace that way we
as guests will know what coffee to bring in what shape or
form. Recommend having a normal pot. The house is so far
from regular grocery stores would be nice. Not convenient.
3. For a family or 4 people having one bath a bit inconvenient.
4. Last but not least with this property if wanting to have a
late checkout no available even if you want to pay extra for
late checkout.
Overall a good experience however there might be other cabins close with more to offer. However place was clean, and
ok, Just wanted to give an honest review.
I was worried about booking on vrbo for the first time after we found this cabin but im so glad we did. Everything that is pictured on the listing is even better in person. Very clean, organized, and labeled and absolutely beautiful. The views were amazing and everything was well thought out for our stay. I look forward to booking again in the future and for way longer. They were correct in suggesting a 4x4 vehicle. I made it with a Camry. Any adverse weather conditions would have definitely made it more difficult or impossible to get there. It was the most majestic experience weâve ever had.
This was exactly what my little family needed. Secluded, but restaurants within 30 minutes. The property was clean and beautiful! The second bedroom is a loft area, which I was nervous about since my son is 3, BUT, it worked out well. There is a privacy screen we set in front of the loft stairs, had him in a pack and play, and had his sound machine going and he slept through the night! I hope we get a chance to rent this property again as it was wonderful to feel disconnected.
guests are afforded privileges (some for a fee) at the club to play golf, tennis, pickle ball, pool, restaurant and other club amenities which are a great feature for this getaway rental
First getaway with our little one at an exceptionally great place!
We picked this place on the photos alone relatively last minute without reading the details too closely and it kept working out better and better. The community the property sits in is great, be advised mostly stone roads, and the location is wonderful, it feels very secluded and peaceful. The interior is nice with some very updated things inside but not totally brand new. This was our first experience in an A Frame and weâre pretty well convinced we need to build one now. The local pizza place in the welcome guide is very good. Two exceptionally minor areas of improvement; the downstairs bedroom door is a little janky and the stairs to the loft arenât dimensionally similar to most stairs and your walking autopilot may cause you to trip going up them since theyâre shallower and shorter than most other stairs. We are extremely happy with our stay and would absolutely consider coming back if weâre in the area again!!
The cabin has everything you could possibly need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cabin is beautifully decorated with lots of games, books, and local information on restaurants and attractions. The cabin has newer bathroom, comfortable bedrooms and kitchen has anything you could possibly need. Everything is very clean. The location is close enough to Asheville. We enjoyed Biltmore Estate tour and Mt. Marshall. We enjoy walking around Asheville and trying out the restaurants, so many to choose from! Fantastic weekend.
This is a very impressive yet cozy getaway property. The moment we opened the front door we were hooked. Everything was so carefully thought out and organized. We treated it like our own home. It was that special. We will be back!
We had a beautiful stay in the trees. The first night there was a rain storm that temporarily knocked out the power, but the property manager was super responsive. Lights came back on shortly and in the morning the whole forest was blanketed in light snow. It was beautiful. The house has everything you need and is a truly special getaway.
My wife and I had never seen deer so close up before. On one drive to the back of Wolf Laurel on the way to Bald Knob we saw a least a dozen deer in the late afternoon. Even if you are not a hiker we suggest the walk up to the top of Bald Knob for amazing views. You can get close with your vehicle but must walk the rest of the way
from the gate. Also check out Mount Mitchell if you have time but check for closures before heading out in the winter. Burnsville and Micaville are nice stops on the way for unique shopping adventures. We took highway 19 to SR80 and then got on the Blue Ridge Parkway up to Mt. Mitchell and then down to Asheville on the back side to finish a loop. Allow a full day for this trip. We took a few hours to walk on the Appalachian trail. There is close access just north of Wolf Laurel off of I26 at the NC and TN border. If you go to Asheville over a holiday be prepared for heavy traffic but worth it.
Loved our time here. House was perfect and saw wildlife off porch every morning. The local access to the AT really helped to get in a hike on our shirt trip.
We had a wonderful stay at Foxden. Every effort was made to ensure all our needs were met. The cabin was well equipped and absolutely beautiful inside and out. Wolf Laurel was fun to explore with great trails and use of the facilities. We didnât want to leave!
