Both rooms smelled musty. The bathroom door in one room had a large crack in it and in the other room the door looked like it had been wet because it was all brown on the bottom. The shower curtain looked like it might have blood on it, the smoke detector was covered with some kind of netting, the door had a crack all around it. I will not stay there again.
The property was close to dining and the major hwy. Rooms need some upgrading, bathroom door hard to close and entrance door needs security chain for door.
The room was basic, organized, and spacious enough with appropriate amenities for the price. It was what I expected and would not have needed more. The clerk was friendly and agreeable.
Les points forts : Personnel et service et confort de la chambre
SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT WEEKEND!!
My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights, because of COVID 19 we cleaned and disinfected our room and bought our own towels, sheets and comforter. We were attending a softball league at 6th park. The sink seemed to have a leak and there was a cork pump left on the floor. We bought our own food and grilled outside our room which was very convenient. There wasnât a ice machine but they did supply us with a bag of ice whenever we asked. The owner Mr. PJ, his wife and the house keeper were great.
My suggestion to the owner would be to have the housekeeper clean better with more detail because of the COVID 19. My other disappointment was, I rsvp a king room and received 2 queen beds. Overall the stay was affordable and pleasant.
Office very friendly and helpful.Might need to address some plumbing issues.Had to move to a room because toilet did not flush correctly.Second room was fine in that regard but noticed that shower drain was very slow.Washbasin needed a stopper. Both rooms had paint "fixes" for what probably was damage, but they need to totally paint both room.Furniture in the room very dated.Would be nice to have a printed channel guide since there was not converter box.One or two of the towels had had a lot of wear and should not have been put out for guest's use.Bread spread in one of the rooms had cigarette holes on the underside of the spread.Cleaning staff needs to inspect and inform management who then should change out such items. Not acceptable: tacky.. However, I do think that management is trying to get its services right. Just coming up a bit short.Good location for exploring Marshalltown.
I only stayed in the room 1 hour and left and drove 4 hours home I couldnât get over how dirty it was. I accidentally booked a smoking room I asked if I could get a non smoking room. Said $10 more. There was only 1 car in the parking lot so their were rooms but that was bumping $70 and I could already tell this was not a $70 hotel. I took the room then couldnât bring myself to do it. And Iâd been at some $35 motels earlier in the week that were 10 times cleaner.
The room was not clean. The dresser drawers had dead bugs in them and other things left behind that were gross. The pillow cases smelled bad like it had not been washed. No blow dryer but a spot where it looked like it was removed. No cups in the room to brush teeth. Very outdated and smelled musty.
