My family and I stayed here for a long weekend. The house was exactly what we were looking for. Clean, great location, and the perfect number of beds and baths. The house is only a few minutes from town and only about five minutes from gas and Walmart. The house was super clean, and Desiree was so easy to communicate with anytime we had questions. Would definitely stay here again the next time I come to Harpers Ferry.
Location was in a small quiet neighborhood right outside of downtown Harper's ferry. Was very clean and host was extremely responsive to our questions. Would absolutely go again!
Desiree was a wonderful and engaging host. The house was located conveniently near the hiking trails. All the essentials were available to us in the house.
My grown siblings and I planned a mini reunion fishing trip over Labor Day weekend. The place was perfect!
Each of us had our own bedroom and bath. The beds are very comfortable, the place is well appointed and the layout of the home allows for space to gather.
And the views are spectacular. And so close to town and everything.
The host could not have been nicer and provided so many great suggestions for restaurants and local points of interest of which there are many.
We fished the Potomac and the Shenandoah Rivers - great fishing. Great experience and beautiful scenery.
This was the perfect place to come back to and relax.
The property had more than enough space for our family of 5. It was in a great neighborhood, which was located very conveniently to the various trails of the National Park (5mins drive) and the wineries of Virginia (15mins drive). There were a handful of cute restaurants/cafes within walking distance. If you're in great shape (and its not a heatwave), the historic town of Harper's Ferry and all its shops and restaurants are about a mile away.
The property is as described. Host is very responsive. For awareness, the home appears to be lived in fulltime when not rented out; mentioning in case that's a dealbreaker for folks.
We really enjoyed our stay here! Awesome view from the balconies. Very clean home. Only about 10 minutes walk to some restaurants and one edge of the river (where you can start some hikes). It was further to Harpers Ferry itself, but we walked it a few times. Great WiFi. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stay here.
We loved that there were 4 bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. It was a bit of a walk to town for 4 ladies in their 60s, so we ended up driving. Found parking on a Thursday evening but Saturday was definitely âtouristâ day. We really enjoyed the barn (short walk) and the Scottish festival in a town nearby. Loved that the owner was so involved in the community!! Thanks Desiree!!
Very nice property. We were able to visit and play games. Centrally located and easy to get to. Long walk to downtown, but it was doable.
We had a great time.
Convenient to trails and historic Harpers Ferry (~ 1.1mi)
Nice stay at this townhome. Itâs was close to where we wanted to be. Good for a weekend getaway so we can check out the historic Harpers Ferry area and do some hiking on the nearby trails. The kitchen was stocked with the cups, plates, utensils water kettle, keurig machineâŠall that we needed. The 2 parking spaces in front of the house were convenient, and the view from the windows was beautiful. I wish one of the rooms had two twin beds for the kids, but otherwise the house was what we needed. Thanks!
four friends and I stayed in Desireeâs house and it helped to make our Harperâs Ferry weekend one to remember. Her communication was stellar and the house fit our needs very well. Thank you for the stay!
Desiree's home was a lovely place to cool off after a long hot day of walking around Harper's Ferry. My sisters and I spent three lovely evenings sitting together in the comfortable living room, talking and enjoying the view of the mountains. All four bedrooms were clean and neat and gave all four of us good nights sleep. Desiree made us feel welcome right away. I highly recommend!
Desiree was very quick to respond to all messages prior to our trip. While there she checked on us to see if we needed anything and gave us suggestions where to go visit. We even got to meet her while out one night. She was very sweet! 10 out of 10.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Desireeâs home. The house is clean and comfortable. It is also walking distance to town. Desiree checked in a few times and even had a bottle of sangria for us. I definitely would recommend staying here.
Harper's Ferry was a meeting place for our family. Cute little town with lots of history. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. We cooked meals at the house and also enjoyed some of the local restaurants (Anvil was our favorite). We enjoyed overlooking the fall colors each morning.
Desireeâs place was very comfortable for our group of five which included 2 children. Downtown Harperâs Ferry is a short drive as are the national park visitorâs center and many hikes/outdoor activities. We would definitely stay again.
The majority of my family went camping but a few family members were not down to sleep in a tent, so we used this place as a basecamp for those members of the family. Very quick drive to the Harper's Ferry KOA which is where we camped. Desiree was a great communicator and very sweetly left us a bottle of wine on the kitchen table. The view from the deck is amazing. Beautiful house and great experience!
