Wonderful antique hotel. Since we arrived late, we used a code to get in. It was so quiet, we might have been alone in the hotel! We didnât see another soul (alive or dead lol). Really nice and very memorable!
Historic Hotel: Doesnât Offer Much Beyond History
Itâs an old hotel with some modern upgrades. Rooms are very spacious and bed was comfortable. Services and amenities were pretty lackluster. We only saw someone at the front desk once. In room amenities were a bar of soap and a shampoo/conditioner combo. Bar was never open when we were there despite their business hours saying they should have been. Still had Christmas decor up which is petty but câmon, itâs April.
It was excellent with a few exceptions. The bathroom could use a stand by the sink to put toiletries on. There was no towel bar beside the bathroom sink.
The room we were in was right beside the street. The street lights were shining right in the bedroom windows.
A unique stay in a small town! I loved that the inn was right downtown and dining and shopping were a short walking distance away. The room was spacious and comfortable. The building had historic charm and was decorated festively for the holidays. We checked in late and instructions were clear for building access as the desk is not staffed 24/7. A nice coffee bar was available on the second floor just outside our room. I felt like I was in a Hallmark movie staying here! Would definitely stay again!
Beautiful building and large rooms. However you can hear everything your neighbors do. There is no staff after 8 so if you need a blanket or ice you are out of luck. The bed sheets didnât fit the bed and we sweat our butts off as you cannot turn the air down to cool off the room.
Neat hotel with history rooted in the area. Friendly staff and nice room. There is a bar downstairs connected to the hotel, and walking distance through downtown Mayville to a handful of other restaurants. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay
