Spacious, beautiful home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home and would definitely recommend the home to others! Loved the open floor plan, all the windows along the front of the house, the deck, the fire pit—our family (3 sons and their families) loved our stay and would certainly stay again! The location was terrific—at the end of a dead end street so it was nice and quiet, and just across the street and past the house there, we could enjoy the beach, lovely Lake MI, and all the gorgeous summer sunsets!!! The only little thing we’d want others to know is to keep the thermostat at 70 or below, so those staying in the upstairs bedrooms don’t melt. Understandable it’s much hotter upstairs, and if the thermostat gets bumped up any higher, the folks upstairs get quite warm (in the heat of summer). We loved staying here, the host was always on top of any question or concern before and during our stay, and we would be happy to come again!

Beach Bliss

Our family loved our relaxing retreat at this gorgeous sanctuary! We especially enjoyed our sunset walks on the beach, which we mostly had all to ourselves.

Perfect House

We had a blast staying here! The sand dunes are 10 -15 minutes away and are so much fun! The house was spacious and very clean, which is important to me. We plan on coming back next year.

Fantastic summer vacation home!

My husband, myself and our 3 adult children plus son in law and our son’s girlfriend stayed at this home for 5 nights in July. We loved this lake house and we have rented many over the years. All of the bedrooms are good sized (the primary is huge) and the beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are updated very clean. The great room has a sectional that easily fit 6 adults with several other comfy chairs- all 7 of us could watch a movie together comfortably! Kitchen is large and open to the great room and dining area so we could socialize from every area! The deck is very large and all 7 of us could eat together at the table and the furniture is very comfortable. We could see sunsets from the deck! Sometimes places we have rented will say they are 5 minutes from the lake but it is actually much longer—this home really is just a 5 minute walk to the beach! It is a fairly steep driveway one needs to walk down but even our 71/2 month pregnant daughter did not find it overly taxing! Then it is a quick walk past another house and down the dune to the beach which was enormous!!!! There was literally nobody for the equivalent of several blocks on either side of us! Maybe because it was right after the week of the 4th? we certainly enjoyed the privacy and space to play some softball! :) There is not much cell service on the beach so you can’t text someone to bring down more drinks etc but we realized this ahead of time and brought walkie-talkies! Highly recommend this lake house!

Perfect Family Spot

We had an invigorating stay at Arrakis! Chilly weather, spectacular fall color and beautiful sunsets.. The kitchen was perfectly equipped and the living area was comfy and spacious. Highly recommended . The hill climb will keep you fit. Thank you!

Great home with everything you need!

Amazing home- plenty of room for the 10 of us!4 kids and 6 adults! Deck is amazing and great views! Has 6 beach chairs & tons of beach towels so you don’t have to bring those! Very friendly owners and easy to communicate with. Hope to be back soon!!

Lovely beach house!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is even larger and more beautiful in person. 5 minute walk to the beach which is located far from the crowded areas which was really nice. We loved the outdoor spaces as well - we spent a lot of time on the outdoor deck and fire pit. We definitely plan to stay here if we're ever in Silver Lake again!

Wonderful Family Weekend

There are not enough words of praise for this outstanding home! The location is perfect! The home itself is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need. The outdoor space is private with a view you will never want to leave. The sound of Lake Michigan greets you as soon as you open the car door. The hosts were in contact whenever we had a question. Our family has been going on vacation with 3 generations for years. This is the best place we have been! I need to add that we visited off season and NOTHING in town was open. Even the gas station closed at 7pm. So be sure if you do the same, bring your groceries and entertainment. Although there is a very nice library at the house and lots of games. We had planned to do all of our own cooking, so we brought what we needed. Our family truly enjoyed our time at this beautiful home and hope to return!

Relaxing with a fabulous view!

We spent our 10th wedding anniversary at the Oceana County and loved it. The view was really fabulous, the area was very quiet and peaceful. Just what we were looking for. My husband enjoyed a nearby golf course. I enjoyed having multiple comfy seating areas and spending time reading. I saw pamphlets for lots of things to do in the area. But we were looking for a chance to not doing much. It was awesome to have the choice to do nothing in a relaxing environment. My husband even suggested that we come back again. I'm thinking yes!
