Fantastic location. The cottage is on an alleyway and it was pretty noisy . Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, someone decided to blow leaves in the law office next doorâŠat 7 a.m. Garbage truck this morning at closer to 8. All that being saidâŠthe location was fantastic, the kitchen pretty well equippedâŠand itâs a very comfortable cottageâŠwould definitely stay again!
This was a really lovely place, well appointed, in a great location. It made an excellent base for walking places downtown and going to Lithia Park. We had a wonderful trip!
Host was extremely responsive and took care of things very quickly. Nice king-sized bed, but not a king-sized blanket. Bedroom air conditioner was noisy, so we turned it on to cool the room down, then shut it off when we went to bed. Kitchen items were on the sparse side, but adequate. We turned the table in the kitchen sideways so that we could eat at it, which made it much for convenient. Cute place and we would stay there again.
This was just what it said it would be! We wanted a place that was within walking distance of the festival and felt private. This ticked all the boxes. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Ashland!
Great spot for those looking to visit for the Shakespeare festival - walking distance from everything! Really nice place to stay - felt super comfortable there.
This comfortable unit is within easy walking distance to The Shakespeare Festival, Oregon Cabaret Theater, the Historic Railroad District, Lithia Park and many excellent restaurants. We were there during a very hot spell and while there was A/C it was insufficient for cooling the main living area. Our hosts were very responsive, delivering an additional fan that helped. There is a cute sitting area under a sun shade just outside the unit where we had our morning coffee and watched several doe and fawns pass by.
Perfect spot. Great location near downtown. We parked at the cottage and didn't use the car all weekend. Walk to Shakespeare festival and lithia park. Plenty of restaurants and brunch spots nearby. We had a fantastic time and will rebook here in the future.
Pros: Excellent location. Good communication with hosts.
Cons: Only big enough for two adults to stay, possibly a child on the couch. The description said it accommodates 4 people, but the couch isnât big enough for adults. Also, the water in the bathroom doesnât allow use of shower and sink at the same time.
We really enjoyed our short stay here! The cottage is clean, in a great location for walking to OSF and great food, and in a good neighborhood. Communication with the owner/manager was very easy and they were responsive to our few questions. We hope to return in 2025 for a longer visit!
The location was great. Kitchen well supplied. A table to sit at while eating would be nice. Also a small outdoor space that is not on an alley would be pleasant to have
My husband and I wanted to include my 91 year old mother to see a play in Ashland and found this bungalow specifying we would be 3 adults.
The photos along with the description that the bungalow sleeps 4 led us to believe this could work for us.
We had decided in advance that we would leave the bedroom to my mother because it was closest to the bathroom and that my husband and I would use the sofa-bed.
Unfortunately the sofa-bed that appeared in the photo was not the one we found in the bungalow. It was a size that could perhaps work for a child, but certainly not an adult (not long enough).
My mother and I ended up sharing the queen-size in the bedroom, and my husband had to try to sleep on the hard and uneven surface of the sofa-bed. Please try it yourselves to verify the experience.
Because we arrived in the evening close to time to see the play, we did not have time to communicate the problems we encountered upon our arrival.
We also had trouble with the noise level of the air-conditioning which was off when we arrived in nearly 100° weather. We turned it on while we were at the play and that helped a little, but then turned it off at night preferring to let the cool night air come in from the windows to forgo the noise, but there were not enough windows that could be opened.
Last issue was a maintenance person who came to use a leaf blower right under our window to sweep the parking lot at 7 am.
I did appreciate that the telephone cord I forgot was sent to me.
