Uneventful stay on road trip

Served needs as a clean inexpensive stop on our 2k mile road trip. Family of 4. Checking took a while as the only front desk agent was dealing with a phone issue for a out 15 minutes while queue grew. After a long day of driving that was frustrating but otherwise checking was uneventful. Stayed at another location in AZ and that hotel and room was identical. Wish rooms had more lighting option, it was either all overhead lights in room or a single lamp. Hard to find the right balance at night. Not a big deal just something we noticed before. Seems by design. Beds plenty soft if you like that kind of bed. It for needs of a cheap place to stay for no.more than 10 hours overnight it was a good value..Motel 6 wanted almost same price and this was way better for a road trip hotel.

This property looks brand new but yet it’s 4 years old. The room was spotless and had a kitchenette that I did not use, but was available. I felt safe here and I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.

Positives: a newer hotel facility, raising expectations that everything would be in working order. Check-in was efficient and helpful in understanding the available amenities. Room was clean, orderly, included a compact kitchen with mid-sized refrigerator, 2-burner cooktop, and small sink; room did not reek of cleaning chemicals. Negatives: room was severely overlit, with too bright recessed ceiling fixtures over the sitting/sleeping area that were unable to be dimmed; room felt more like a hotel lobby, instead of a restful place to relax. NO pots, pans, dishes or flatware were to be found in the kitchen, and were instead FOR SALE down in the lobby, thereby rendering this amenity useless. The bathroom was similarly harshly overlit, with a very annoying and uncomfortable air-flow exhaust fan which could only be controlled by operating the light switch. The shower wall-mounted shampoo and soap dispensers were completely empty; is it the guest's responsibility to report this to the front desk? And finally, the heater/air conditioner operation was erratic, sending out warm air followed immediately by a frigid blast of cold air; such cycling through the night literally made me sick with a headache and general malaise by morning. And least I forget: all of the pillows were much too thick, propping my neck up at such a severe angle that it made a restful sleep impossible. I have driven by this hotel since it first came online; I now know I could NEVER book another stay there again.

We came for a softball tournament. Just needed a place to sleep and relax and this did the job. It was about 14 minutes from the fields and even though we were right next to the airport it was pretty quiet. It has a full size fridge which was really nice! The ice machine took forever to make ice. I don’t think they have a bigger ice machine so you may have to go to the store to buy ice if you want to fill a cooler.
