Good for nature lovers, walkers and people wanting something different away from suburbia.
Lots of daddy long legs everywhere, floors not very clean.
Bed comfortable, clean and amenities OK.
Definitely not a B&B or hotel type accommodation. Probably more akin to a cabin in a caravan park.
Cramped room, tepid shower, crumby amenities, all at 4.5 star city prices. The tiny worn out heater struggled to keep the room at an adequate temperature. On arrival, there was inadequate signage to explain how to get into the gated area. The bed mattress was hard.
Facilities: Cosy and comfortable; Value: Affordable; Service: Very friendly and helpful; Cleanliness: Clean and tidy.;
We were able to go out at night and watch the lighthouse illuminate the bay. We had a great evening meal in the Cape Schanck Resort - need to book.
Facilities: Cosy; Value: Great deal; Service: Courteous; Cleanliness: Pleasant;
Take in the views and explore the surrounds on various bush and coastal walks
When we arrived we were told that we had no booking. This was despite a confirmation from Expedia the day before. There was no vacancy so we were unable to stay. The accommodation eventually found for us was not what we wanted and was worth much less than what had been paid. I would not want to have this experience again and wonder how it can happen.
I would like to actually stay at the Lightstation one day as the surrounding environment was lovely.
