Extremely reasonably rates. Super close to Southern Cross station and easy 15 min walk to shopping. Plenty of convenience food/coffee close by. 24hr check in was helpful with delayed train. On-site parking available was a bonus although is very narrow access but expected so close to city. Room had large comfortable bed and was overall very quiet. General cleanliness of bathroom could have been improved. Would definitely stay again.

Whilst a valiant effort has been made to renovate the hotel, there are areas that need addressing. Firstly the mattresses. Costs have been cut by either recycling the old mattresses, or the most basic of mattresses have replaced the old. Springs covered in fabric is an apt description. Secondly, the mould in the nicely appointed shower is concerning and unpleasant, and it makes me wonder what else isn’t being cleaned properly. Thirdly, the split system requires a printout “how to use”. Certainly beneficial for the colder and warmer months. These systems aren’t always intuitive and may be malfunctioning which was why it produced no heat at all despite the setting. I would have enjoyed staying here again for location and the new aesthetic, however wouldn’t risk another uncomfortable and cold stay.

Rooms were good overall, clean and comfortable. Some of the bathrooms needed good clean between the tiles and around the hinges on the bottom of the shower doors. Their was also a big variation in the rooms sizes considering they were all the same price. Staff were all very polite, professional and helpful.
