Emplacement et vue incroyable maison trĂšs confortable, extĂ©rieur trĂšs agrĂ©able, avec spectacle tous les matins dauphins pĂ©licans, Ă©cureuils, faucon !! Seul petits soucis des odeurs de riviĂšres dĂ©sagrĂ©ables qui ne permettent pas tout le temps de profiter de l’extĂ©rieur

I just want to say, if you are thinking about it, do it! Our stay at the historic riverfront downtown house was amazing. What a magical place with lots of character. We absolutely loved our stay! The house is in a fabulous location with a therapeutic view. Sitting on the back porch with a cup of coffee was a morning favorite. The house is kept up well and very clan. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable and I slept better than I do on my own bed. Beth, the host was so nice and accommodating through the entire process from booking to check out, quick to respond. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Melbourne. I think we found our home away from home.

Everything was great and as described. Only distraction was the noise of the vehicles driving across the bridge. The house is very old and thus the windows and noise insulation are not sufficient.

Great Vacation Get Away

Had a great time at this awesome getaway location. Clean and comfortable with everything you need. Great view of the sunrise over the water. Lots of things to do in the area.. The beaches are close and have easy parking. Would recommend and definitely will be back.

80th Birthday Celebration

After searching for months for a place to host family and friends for my mother's 80th birthday celebration, we came upon Old River House. The home and the grounds are absolutely amazing! If you appreciate the old feel of Melbourne, I highly recommend this location. From the beginning, connecting with our host, Beth and to the day of check everything went amazingly smooth. Beth is very responsive in communication! I could go on and on about our stay. As a family, we built beautiful memories here and would love to come back again! Until next time...

Great location! House was very nice and clean. The view was excellent. We spent a lot of time on the back porch looking at the river. Saw many dolphins, birds and boats. Golfing nearby was also a plus. Beth was very attentive and responded quickly to any questions. Had a great stay.

We totally enjoyed our visit to the cottage. As soon as we arrived we felt right at home. Beth was very communicative and happy to answer any questions. Plenty of good restaurants and shopping nearby.

Relaxing in Melbourne

We had a long weekend in Melbourne to visit family and this was an incredible place to stay. We enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the incredible views, watching the birds fish, and the dolphins in the lagoon. When we wanted to go to the beach the chairs were great to use and when we wanted an activity at the house there were games for us to play as well. The hosts were easy to connect with and thought of everything to make it a great stay. We can't wait to come back again!

Wonderful vacation

Beautiful property with an amazing view! Beth was so helpful. She responded quickly and was so helpful. We had a great time. It was really nice to be close to old downtown. Walking was easy, but traffic was kind of busy for the first couple streets. Highly recommend...

Outstanding!

We own a luxury beach rental and know how hard it is to make an exceptional experience. Walking in and seeing all this home offers, we were blown away. The owners have put much love into this home to make your stay incredibly special. First, the overall feel is updated but historical. Walking through and admiring the trim work and details, it is an honor to stay here. We spent each evening and morning on the beautiful rear patio overlooking the Indian River and In the shade. The homes amenities, soft, thick, towels and wonderful linens along with a fully stocked kitchen with special items fitting the home, are an extra nice touch. Location is perfect - we walked to dinner at the Chart House and downtown each morning to the French Bakery. Beth was so easy to communicate with and made our stay easy. We would be back in a heartbeat next time in Melbourne.

Beth was very accommodating for our very last minute trip to Melbourne. House is super cute patchwork style. We loved the multiple living rooms for the change of scenery. One thing to note: if you have small children, please keep a watchful eye in the backyard. There is a very small barrier between a steep drop into the river. River is not accessible from this house. It would be super fun if steps and a dock were built. Great views all around from the porch. Close to downtown and causeway to the beach. All-in-all 5 stars- would rent again! Thank you Beth

Great View Gorgeous Home

Beautiful classic home with a great view of the water nestled neatly into its own little slice of heaven. Perfect for a small gathering to get away and have a great time. Would rent again!
