Loved this quaint B&B. Delicious healthy breakfasts, great service, super clean room and very helpful, friendly and accommodating staff. Amazing historic homes that have been meticulously remodeled. Loved the homey feel and enjoying the living, dining and family rooms with the fireplaces and comfy sofas. Great spots to read a book or drink tea and relax. I also loved soaking in the huge tub in my room. I will be back. â€ïž
Our stay in Mendocino was excellent. The room was extremely clean, check in was seamless, breakfast was brought to our door (Wow) and was tasty. The location made movement in Mendocino easy and while the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside, the courtyard was lovely and would have been a great place to hang out. Finally, we were treated to a wine and cheese happy hour each day. The experience was worth the price of admission.
Frequent visitor to Mendocino, but this was my first stay with Inns of Mendo. Very much enjoyed it; friendly staff and well-kept property. Will look for IoM when I come back.
All of the suggestions above. Warm welcome by Eve. Staff great &helpful. Breakfast served in a canvas picnic basket with some thing different each morning. We are in love with this place.
Nice room (208) with a good view of the ocean! But from mid-morning until late evening the huge exhaust fan in the restaurant across the street made keeping the window closed a necessity and shortened our time on the otherwise nice deck. Suggest selecting a different facing room. The breakfasts are delivered around 9am - perhaps later than many prefer - and didn't have the usual daily fresh pastry, eggs, waffles, French toast, etc: nice oatmeal with a good scone one day, and a veggie sort of stew with bread the next. Nice wine and cheese in the afternoons.
The property was beautiful, the room was decorated simply and tastefully, and the bed was very comfortable. It was also well located to town.
I gave this place three stars because it was advertised as a B&B. My past B&B experiences include breakfast around a communal table, talking with guests and the property owners. But this had none of that. Breakfast was delivered in a picnic basket. I didnât really see any guests or managers. It felt like Covid 2020. Had I known this, I definitely wouldâve picked a different place.
That being said, it really was a beautiful location. It was the experience that was lacking.
Wonderful stay! Easy check in, rooms a quaint and very comfortable. So much better than a chain hotel. Mendocino is wonderful little town with majestic ocean views.
Property has a great location , convenient to shopping and restaurants. Staff was great and breakfasts were tasty. However rooms were very poorly furnished--no bureaus, closets or any other place to put clothes or other items , and walls were paper thin.sovthat we could hear every step of neighboring guests.
We had a lovely stay in a charming old Victorian B&B. The staff was great, the room was large and comfortable. They bring a wonderful breakfast to your room each morning, and the food was delicious.
Would highly recommend The Inns of Mendocino....they have 3 properties.
Great location! Fireplace didnât work, but staff very friendly and gave us a bottle of wine to make up for it. Fortunately we stayed when it wasnât too cold!
The B&B at Inns of Mendocino was outstanding. Quirky stand-alone room built like a water tower as part of JD House. Location was walking distance to shopping, restaurants and art studios.
I loved staying at the Inn. The breakfast was the best part, plus the location and decor. The only minor issue was that the none of the windows in the tower opened so the room was musty. Otherwise, everything was great.
