We live only 25 minutes from the Royal Iris. We have always talked about taking a trip close to home. And we have always wanted to stay in a tiny home. The Royal Iris had everything that a larger home has. It was a quiet neighborhood and very easy to find. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
The property has no cell service and the owners haven't been gracious enough to provide phone service. This was not made 100% clear in the ad (not stated in the ad at all) and that information was only provided to me after I made the reservation with no refund possible.
I had car trouble and was unable to turn my car off or it would not start again. The fact that there is no cell service meant that if I turned the car off I had no way to reach out to anyone for assistance. I do have AAA. I am a 68 year old woman and it was terrifying the thought of being stranded in the wilderness and having to roam the streets looking for help.
So I had to pack up my car after only one nights stay and head for home at 8 pm in the evening. It was a 9 hour drive that took my 14 hours because I had to drive through the entire night without turning my car off and no sleep.
If there had been a medical emergency or an emergency of any kind, I fear the outcome would have been terrible with no way to call for help.
I asked the owners for just a one day refund (reserved 4 days) and I never heard a word back. If you have any concerns about being stranded in the wilderness with no way to call for help, I would recommend you stay away from this property.
The Royal Iris is a great original tiny house and I found it very comfortable and clean. I enjoyed staying there and was perfect for working in Trion! Thank you!
The property was clean and perfect for our needs, but the overwhelming smell of cigarettes in the tiny house was not as expected at all, even the ice from the refrigerator tasted like cigarettes. We had to wash all of your clean clothes and leave our luggage outside when we got home. đ
This was the perfect little place to celebrate my best friendâs 40th birthday! It was cute, comfortable and quiet! Only downside is there is no WiFi and you must go into town for internet.
The only complaint I had was the counter space around the sink in the bathroom. If they could put in some shelves for all the things they have on the counter it would free up space for guest to use.
My family of three and our foster dog stayed in this lovely tinyhouse, and it was wonderful. The house was clean, well kept and had all of the amenities we were looking for. The only downside (if you can call it that) was the lack of internet/tv/cell reception.
We had a nice semi-unplugged vacation in a beautiful location, and all of us enjoyed it.
I cannot say enough good about this place. Quiet, cozy, neighborhood very close to downtown Mentone. The tiny home was clean, cozy, and furnished with everything you need for a getaway.
This is the first time weâve stayed in a tiny home. It was very cute with plently of room for everything. We had an issue with power for the first night, but it was handled first thing the next morning- with care sincere apologies. Loved the community- easy to walk around with my dog- and thereâs even a dog park in the neighbor hood! The pictures are a bit misleading- there was no balcony with a view. Overall it was a great stay- and look forward to coming back!
This was a very comfortable cozy tiny house for us. Everything was very nice. Great location.
Super nice tiny house get away. Love the location and the privacy. Very quite. Convenient to the different attractions in the surrounding area. Would definitely rent again.
Loved the house and decor. Perfect for an overnight getaway. Mattress was not comfortable at all. Better mattress and I wouldnât have anything bad to say about it
