Unfortunately the service during Thanksgiving was non existence. The TV didnât work, the sheets were laundered but visibly stained and there was no room service even when requested each day of my four night stay. A call to the number on the âHow was your stayâ survey for the hotel was answered with concern and that he would check it out in person and call me back. NO return call since my call in December. This is now February and I am left with calling Wyndham directly with this sad report.
This is a very neat hotel, but not comfortable to just hang out in the room. The bathroom was beautiful and super modern, which didnât fit the era of the hotel, but I loved it.
I would recommend putting up curtains in addition to the blinds because the hall light beamed in all night. There also is nowhere to get ice or water, so bring your own.
No one at check in . No one told me restaurant and bar would be completely closed entire weekend . And don't even provide bar soap in the room !
Very noisey as well .
Quite shocked
Absolutely wonderful and such a beautiful building and area, right near Amish country! Iâm sorry that it was a quick overnight on our way home to Maine. So, I plan on returning for a few nights next time.
The property has some nice aspects, like the historical feel and redone bathrooms, and the hotel is easy access to Mercersburg Academy if youâre visiting a student, but they have a clear service problemâthe desk was never attended, the floors in my room were dirty and the restaurant took forever to get our very simple sandwich meal.
