The location, cleanliness, and the hostâs communication and responsiveness were excellent. The apartment itself is in slight disrepair. If you are booking for the advertised private outdoor space, be aware that while it is âprivateâ (sole use), it is situated in the middle of the building, surrounded by other apartments on all sides, and as it is a low floor, there is no privacy and pretty much no sunlight so too cool and exposed to actually enjoy. Building standards are obviously lower than what we are used to- constantly disturbed and awoken by noise from the people who live in the unit above.We booked an extra night on the front end of our trip due to arrival at 2am. We provided all of the information required for check in, in advance, however a miscommunication between the host and security personnel resulted in us standing on the street in the cold and dark at 2am for about 30 minutes. The lines to the hot water heater sprung a leak during our stay. The host arranged for a maintenance worker to attend the apartment while we were sightseeing for the day. They only arrived at 7pm to start diagnosis when we had returned home to freshen up for dinner. He was there until 9pm and then returned the next day to fix the problem and resume water supply. The following day there was no hot water and I had to figure out how to get the hot water heater working again myself.Insufficient amenities - low hand and dish soap, low TP, and no dishwasher soap provided.
