When we arrived in the evening we had a difficult time being let into the room. The VRBO host had told us I had to provide passports or photo IDs for everyone in our party, which i did. This is strange, but I did it. The host said they would be there to welcome us and get us into our room, they were not. After 30 minutes plus waiting for someone to authorize us, our son, who speaks Spanish, managed to get the guard to let us in. It was very odd and uncomfortable. The apartment is very nice and in a good location. However, the fact the building occupants did not wants us there(signs every where telling us that) and being hassled multiple times during our stay by the guards. At one point a guard came to our room and told us we were not allowed to be there, we were not authorized. We shut the door on her and we did not hear more about it. Each time we came in and out of the condo we worried or were confronted with an obstacle to enter. Thankfully our son is a Spanish speaker and that helped tremendously. It is a nice place, but possibly, this unit should not be offered as a rental until the owner can resolve the occupancy issues of short terms renters.
