I messaged the host the day before check in and was told I would receive check in instructions at noon the day of (which is not typical to begin with, thatâs late, but ok). At 5 pm day of, still no communication/response from host. I had to make several calls to VRBO to get help. They forwarded me some check in information. Then I finally heard from host, so I used those directions. They gave me the wrong apt and code to get in, I literally walked in to an occupied unit! I found what VRBO sent, used that, and got into the right unit. I didnât sleep well because I thought if they could do that once, what prevents them from giving someone my apt/ code? Iâll never use this host again, not willing to take the chance. I also did not get any checkout instructions or messages. They are obviously not paying attention. Iâve never had this experience at a VRBO.
