Check-In service needs to be better

The gentleman that checked us in DID NOT tell us that you have to swipe your room key to get to your floor. Traveling from Central Illinois to the hotel was a long trip, & to not know about the room key, was very upsetting. We’ve never stayed in a hotel that we had to use our room key to use the elevator,& we weren’t the only guests he did this to!!
