The unit was under construction and we were not aware of the mess. There was balcony access and men were coming and going on a construction bridge outside both living and bedroom windows. There was a huge problem with dust on everything in the unit. Furniture was broken, a cupboard door was missing and the underside of the range hood was disgusting. Sinks were stained with rust and paint splatter. The faucet water smelled of sulfur and the air filters were clogged with debris. I made many calls to the unit manager and he continued to tell me the condition of the unit was in the lease I signed. If the condo was under construction I know I would not have signed it. I contacted VBRO immediately and an agent got back to me, but no luck getting a refund back from the company unit manager. We checked out by 1pm the next day. The parking lot manager gave us a credit for the week of parking pre-paid. We purposely went through your website to help us avoid scams and rotten people. By Friday, my husband was admitted to Memorial Regional Hospital here in Hollywood Florida for pneumonia and later into the ICU unit and put into a coma. Five days have passed and he still has a breathing tube and his lungs are not fully recovered. I have had to change hotels, cancel plane reservations and extend my car rental and hotel stays. I have had to get my mail stoped, have my medications transferred to Florida. This is costing us thousands of dollars and we still might be here for another 2 weeks. P
