Beautiful wooded setting, birds feeding in the backyard a few feet from the screened porch, gardens and paths a pleasure. The cottage is vintage in the best way, knotty pine paneling, wood casement windows, and comfortable cottage furnishings. The lamps alone are delightful! Ceiling fans in every room and on the porch. ALL modern conveniences meanwhile - wifi, updated kitchen furnished with every utensil and cookware any cook desires, plus dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker. Beaches close enough to walk for the young folks. Only drawback is lack of car parking at the beach, but easy to unload.
My daughters and granddaughter stayed in a newer cottage nearby and we walked to Stop 50 for a late pizza lunch, and New Buffalo with its restaurants and beach is ten minutes north. Toddler granddaughter loved the sand and the baby waves! Highly recommend for a quiet stay while amazingly close to Chicago.
