We stayed for several days. Overall it was a good trip. I would suggest a chair in the living room with the couch. Also another blanket for the fold out couch. Other than that, it was a great stay!
The checkin was smooth, we were given the password to the door lock. The house was cozy, and had almost everything we needed. There wasn't any salt, but other spices were in the cabinets allng with all necessary cutlery. The door knob to the room wouldn't lock, and there were no night lights or lamps which we could turn on for the night. The bathroom knob was loose and moving around in the door. It took a while for the hot water to come in the faucet. Overall cleanliness was good, however underneath the bed there was dust and some clothes that were not cleaned up. When we arrived the toilet wouldn't flush but then the handyman came and fixed it the other day when we messages the management. It was a nice neighbourhood during the daytime. The streets would get very vacant at night and the grill was close to the street so our family (my husband, myself and our baby) felt it unsafe to go outside to grill at night as we weren't many people. They had complimentary popcorn which we really enjoyed! The bed was comfortable, we had a good night's sleep in it. We are grateful as the overall stay was so memorable for us, our first wedding anniversary. The reason why I pointed out the things that weren't so great is so that the owners can improve the experience for other guests.
The place was cozy! and well-equipped! except there wasn't a W/D or ironing board and iron. The views aren't great. The front faces the back of the outlet stores and the side faces a vacant lot. But it felt very safe and comfortable. Parking can be limited. There's only space for about 6 cars and I couldn't find anywhere close to park when the spaces were full.
We brought bikes with us, and kayaks. The hedges were great for stashing everything out of sight. We rode our bikes to the beach every day to avoid the parking fees and lines. One block walk to the farmers market and lots of food. Staff was very helpful.
Arrived at the property and the conditions were deplorable. Unsafe neighborhood unsuitable for a family. Walked inside and couch covered in stains. Only shower had plastic surround falling apart. Attempted communication with host without any reply. Automatic emails continued to be received despite notification we would not be staying and seeking resolution. Clearly, correspondence is totally unmonitored. Please delist property.
College classmates from Ohio and Wisconsin met after sixty-four years to renew friendship, share memories, cook together, explore dunes and beaches. Weather was April spring--cool but pleasant walking the beaches, exploring dunes, watching white waves, feeling the lake breeze. Michigan City is not just a summer vacation spot! We will come back!
We wanted to explore the casinos in the area as itâs our first visits. The shopping outlet being close was a bonus! The bed was very comfy & the coffee provided was a nice touch. The couch could use a good cleaning or change of covers. Maybe not necessarily dirty but covered it with a sheet to sit on just in case.
In a great location for shopping (walk to the outlets)
Needs a good cleaning- the couch was stained and dirty and there was food under the couch.
Cute apartment and good communication.
We enjoyed our stay in Michigan. Our place was nice and we had a small issue with Tv but they were awesome and jumped right on getting it replaced. Would definitely stay again.
