It was definitely noisy and run down but didn’t feel unsafe. Wouldn’t recommend for more than a night, it was okay to just pass through. It seemed decently clean (fabrics had a weird smell) but just very outdated.

Property very central but small, cramped and dated especially if solo traveller in single room. Desperately in need of revamp. Breakfast area very cramped. Staff very pleasant. But not a hotel to be recommended - view was of air conditioning units

Wonderful staff and great breakfast! The best americano latte made by a lovely lady. Both the lady and the gentleman at the desk were so helpful and pleasant. The room is a bit minimal and older but functional. Perfect location—just 2 minutes from the Duomo Cathedral. I’d definitely choose this place again when in Milan.

The property is literally a 2 minute walk to the Milan Duomo and museums. Its no doubt a convenient spot, the metro is approximately a 3 minutes walk as well as the tour guide buses. But this isnt really reflected in the description when you go to book Hotel Rio, so this needs to be emphasised in the description. Breakfast was delicious and a small range of items but not bad for a city hotel at a nominal price and staff were extremely helpful. My only criticism was that hotel is a little outdated as well as a dark interior but the rooms were comfy. As well as this there is no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms.i had to go across the road and get coffee if i wanted it.overall it was a good place to stay and i felt really safe.
