Easy access, owner’s responded immediately to any questions. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean, roomy and well lit. Room was nicely decorated and spacious, even had a large walk in closet with plenty of room to store our suitcases. Owners are super nice people!

Great stay!!

Great stay near lassen volcanic park and Lake Almanor. Well appointed and easy to access. We recommend staying here when in the area.

Living with crawling insects around bed

When we first arrived, we noticed there was a cricket moving on the floor. We took a picture, killed the cricket, and called to the manager. The manager said someone will come to take care of it, so we left the room for hiking. When we came back at 9 pm, there are countless ants on the floor, moving every where especially near the bed. We immediately reported to the manager, and the manager told us they were unable to find the cricket in the afternoon, was unable to change the room as they are fully booked, and not sure where the ants came from. The manager said he will have someone vacuum the room soon, and after one hour of waiting, someone finally come. However, these are surface treatment. They left the vacuum to us, but no matter how many times we vacuum the place, there are still ants on the floor. After we woke up in the morning, more ants are around the bed frame area. We told the manager and did not get any response. All the manager did was just trying to cover things up. I don't know who will be living there later on but I doubt they will do any proper treatment before letting anyone staying there. They just try to cover up as much as possible

I really liked that the room was very spacious. It’s close to Lassen National park. Given that most guests at the hotel are likely coming to enjoy the nature and the national park, it would be nice to have a patio by the hotel to rest after a hike in the park. There was no lobby, and the outside area didn’t have anything except a bench facing the road. There was someone’s cloth in our closet. And the door didn’t lock from inside. Our toddler could turn the knob and get out of the room easily so we had to block the door with furniture. The check in was smooth, we just used the provided code for the door. There were guests in other rooms, but it’s a small hotel, probably just 4 rooms. The rest of the building looked empty to me.

On the plus side: Spacious room. Easy electronic code entry. Newly remodeled, nice decor. Lots of electric outlets. Not so good: Thin walls, no carpeting in hall. Neighbors noisy until midnight. Not enough surfaces to set things on, especially in bathroom. King bed not centered, night stand only on one side. Occasional clicking noise in bathroom, when running hot water in sink and other times. A/C broke in middle of the night, no answer on phone so opened window and had highway noise, also did not feel safe. Small trash bins. No service unless requested. No lip on shower stall so water ran all over bathroom. There was a large pool of water in the corner which will eventually cause mold.
No nightstand on one side of bed, plenty of room to move bed over.
