Everything was as advertised. The cabin was very cozy. They had the heat and electric fire place on and running for us when we got there. They provided bed sheets. The grounds were very lovely. It was a beautiful stay. A highly recommended stay, especially for Penn State fans.
We knew there was no running water, shower or toilet. But there was also no comfortable furniture to sit on. The heater was a small plug in heater if we needed it. And we had to strip the beds ourselves, when we left. My daughter fell down the front steps that did not have hand railings and the boards were warped and held water from the rain. The wood siding was not sealed and you could see light through the boards to the inside and we had large black ants inside the cabin.
Clean and cute cabin. The walk to the bathroom was a little far and the area outside our cabin was wet and muddy, which made it difficult to get from our car to the cabin. All in all nicely kept property.
Going somewhere new you never know what to expect. It was so peaceful and quiet which was exactly what we needed. Definitely would recommend to anyone who was traveling in the area.
I was in town for my daughter's graduation from Penn State. It was mostly a place to sleep, but I enjoyed the peace and quiet. It looks like it would be great fun for families and groups.
Absolutely loved the Primitive Log Cabin. Just big enough for 3 of us. We were fine without runnung water or a bathroom inside. They have a very well kept bathhouse a short distance away. It is so peaceful and quiet. Plenty for kids to do and plenty of land to explore. This was our first stay here but it will not he our last. Looking forward to seeing the growth that is coming.
