There was a Michael Jackson tribute band performing which went on till midnight. From the billboard outside there are frequent such performances from different bands. The thump of the base went on and on which made sleep impossible until it ended. Room was clean but basic as was the food. Would not book another stay at this venue

Room updates and maintenance required

Staff were lovely and extremely friendly and accommodating. I stayed in room 23 ground floor there were on initial impression tears and pulls in the curtains on the double doors and on entering the room, it had a damp fusty smell which worsened in the bathroom – when using the sink the water rose and didn’t flow continuously down the plug hole so potentially some sort of plumbing/blockage issue. The shower curtain on the inside had dirt splash marks from previous guests and I feel a new net curtain or better attention to detail is needed in this area. Food is your average pub food. The bar area is lovely clean and with a great atmosphere Overall I enjoyed my stay however I feel the rooms need some attention/updating

A lovely comfortable old coaching inn in a very pretty historic village. Staff are friendly and helpful, food is very good and my room was very nice and comfortable. No faults at all, and I'll certainly be back again.....I really enjoyed my stay

disappointing food

disappointed with the quality of the food - overpriced for what was served. & a member of reception said that on Fri, Sat & Sun breakfast was onlt served from 8am, so delayed leaving & went down for breakfast at 8.05, discovered that fridays it is from 7am - come on guys, its not that hard. Parking OK,, but carpark dark, probably safer on the street in front of the hotel

Ok but expensive

Nice place BUT i had no duvet or pillow for the settee bed was too late to ask betime i went to bed . And god it was a HARD mattress. also i had breakfast inasked for a bacon sandwich i ended up with a small BACON roll my daughter had x1 hash brown x1 sausage x1 spoon full of beans . All came to £18.70. RIP OFF

Really liked this hotel and would like to visit again one day. The only problem was the noise from the bar area but as it’s known for it’s entertainment and once it closed it was quiet enough to sleep.
