It was obvious that a great deal of care and consideration went into the restoration and decoration of the house as well as care for guests' comfort. We loved the house and reading all of the historical information within.
Stayed with our family. Loved the history, the pictures and the story. Took us back to time spent in our own grandparentsâ houses while growing up but with modern conveniences. Would definitely stay again!
Our group was a small girls weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean. The only downside was partial curtains in the living room and no curtains in the kitchen. As a city girl, I'm always more comfortable with something over the window. :) I recommend this stay to anyone wanting a unique experience in a cozy home with historic significance.
We are visiting families for Christmas. We wanted a quiet place to return to after all the high energy of family gatherings to recharge. Apple Court was perfect, location wise and coziness wise. We felt so welcome with the Welcome sign for us right from the beginning. The little details matter. We love that it is so close and walkable to the cute downtown area. My husband and I walked there every morning while we were there for breakfast and enjoyed the beauty of the town. It snowed while we were there so we got the magic of Christmas Wonderland and all that jazz. If you are interested in history and character of a home, Apple Court is for you. It is comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much.
We've been staying at this property for 4 years, and it's as clean and welcoming this year as 4 years ago! The managers have done an amazing job maintaining the house. This stay our weather wasn't great, so we didn't have a chance to wander around the village of Greendale like we usually do. But even in the cold weather (it snowed in April) we were snug and comfy in the house. It's always well-stocked with paper goods, towels, comfortable sheets and blankets. Plenty of dishes, coffee and creamer in the fridge. We were even welcomed with an Easter basket for the kids. If we had one complaint, it would probably be the neighbors who park in the street and make it tricky to back out of the driveway. But with a little maneuvering, my husband can always make it work. Thank you Greendale Historical Society for always providing a sanctuary for our little family.
We enjoyed a peaceful, along with historical stay on Apple Ct. it is obvious that all details for a comfortable stay have been thought of. Items displayed on the walls, the fun downstairs 1/2 bath and the furniture are an added treat! Make sure to visit the downtown Welcome Center. So easy to walk to.
Would definitely stay again.
Itâs the cutest little house you can ever rent. The restoration of the place is amazing! The neighborhood was so quite, and peaceful it was like staying at my own home minis my crazy cats. My husband and I went to Milwaukee trying to get everything planned and ready to move my Dad across country. So that help remove some of the stress. Thank you Greendale community for the best travel stay I have every had!
We were so delighted with the very nice house and lovely yard. The owners had provided information about the house and its history which was most interesting. We enjoyed the attention to detail. We would love to return.
We had a wonderful stay. The house itself is carefully restored, and includes information about each room. The kitchen is just charming, with the original sink, metal cabinets, and retro-style fridge and microwave. The whole house is perfectly clean and everything is very new - for instance, each of the chrome faucets is sparking clean & new looking. The outdoor space was an unexpected treat as well - a small table out front, a table big enough for dining out back, and two comfy wicker chairs near the main door.
We also enjoyed walking to the village for breakfast, using the walking paths. We found many of the special chimney art, and had a delicious breakfast at the Milk Can Diner!
We would definitely stay again - such great memories were made on this trip.
Exquisite, comfortable and beautiful! Brought back many warm family memories.
See above. The hosts are kind, considerate and take great care and pride of this lovingly restored landmark! I am grateful to have been able to be a guest! I hope to be able to return and highly recommend this opportunity!
Many thanks to the Greendale Historical Society. This Greendale original home is restored/renovated in the most lovely way. It is walkable to to the quaint village of downtown Greendale with shops and restaurants. I enjoyed a outdoor concert at the Gazebo and Farmer's market. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable and the essentials were provided. I highly recommend as a perfect home away from home if you're in the area and I look forward to my next stay.
