We booked this property to have a family gathering for my dad’s 90th birthday, and it was perfect for our needs. The front room that was formerly a store is spacious but still comfortable. It has beautiful wood moldings, tasteful accents of blue and black paint, a marble nook that was likely an old desk. It’s very funky but charming. The attached back quarters was great with a second, small living area and some bedrooms. Our two young granddaughters shared the former freezer-space-turned-loft-bedroom. It was lined with wood and was cozy for them—we loved this room. The kitchen, though small, was workable, fun, and well-stocked.
We were able to make the front area festive for the party and everyone had a great time.
There was a great assortment of games for all ages--foosball, board games, video games, and a giant connect 4—such a nice variety and it made it fun for everyone.
The outside was inviting with the colorful mural. The location is well situated for going any direction in Milwaukee, and communication with the owner/manager was timely and helpful. There's plenty of parking, but a couple of off-limits spots, which the owner explained very clearly.
