4/10 Poor

This home feels abandoned. The three entrance doors do not work properly – the deadbolts are difficult to turn and the doors are extremely hard to open. Once inside, a pile of old mail was laying at the door, and dead bugs throughout the house. The windows are very hard to open, not that you would want to as there are large “For Sale” signs on both sides of the property and people regularly stop to have a look, and you can barely see Lake Harriet through the trees. In the master bedroom, we spent time killing mosquitos and, when getting into bed, I was stung by a bee nesting between the pillows. With a swelling arm I went for a swim in the pool, which was ice cold; once you book the property, the property manager sends home instructions stating, “the pool temp cannot be turned up any higher than it is because it creates a higher level of condensation in the room and the house overall”. In the pool room, an electrical cord runs across the entrance to a dehumidifier sitting at the edge of the pool. There are exposed picture hooks and wires everywhere. There is no cable/satellite service. At the end of our stay, I had to catch an earlier flight to deal with an unplanned emergency. My wife dropped me at the airport and returned to pick up her/my daughter's luggage. I spoke with the Operations Manager over the phone at 11AM as I was boarding, who was irate about our "late checkout" and when I expressed the above issues, she scoffed. Great neighborhood, terrible house and staff.
