The house was very well located for where we needed to be in Minneapolis. Nice neighborhood with good amenities nearby. The house was consistent with other houses in the neighborhood-- older homes with charm and a few eccentricities. Some of the stairs are steep and narrow if you have mobility issues. Not an issue for us, but might be for some visitors. All in all, a very nice stay.
Our stay in Lake Harriet House was really and truly amazing. 9 members of my family flew in from Ireland to host Christmas for our local in laws. We had an amazing week of snowfights, cooking Christmas dinner all together and so many memories of Minneaplois and the local area, which has within walking distance many nice places to eat or visit such as the lake or playgrounds etc. The Hunt and Gather store a few minutes walk. The house is so warm and inviting and was perfect to accommodate the 4 couples and kids staying there with enough space for us all to do our own thing. We had all of the equipment that we needed and our host was more than accommodating, even letting us leave some of our bags for a few days after our stay while we did a cabin trip, and generally being very responsive and accommodating throughout our trip. Fantastic place to stay. Highly reccommend
We had a wonderful stay. Ben was very responsive. All of our needs were met. He even purchased "beach towels" just for us asking about them. The Lake is about a 20 min walk. The lake was a wonderful place to go as a family. The house is super clean. Beds were comfortable. The house has a lot of character which made it very fun. It is an older house but has what you need.
Great place for families! 2 blocks to excellent park, nice kid amenities like booster seat and baby gate. The house was comfortable and the location unbeatable.Only request is they change the polyester sheets for cotton. That would be a big and easy upgrade.
Ben the host was very responsive and accommodating. Even got the gym area hand weights after we asked if they were available. Would definitely stay here again!
The house is amazing, with all of the mod cons you could want and plenty of space to spread out and feel at home. The construction in the street out front was a bit of an inconvenience, but that's just temporary. Location was great, convenient to all parts of the Twin Cities. Host Ben was communicative and friendly but not intrusive. We had a wonderful stay!
We enjoyed the house and location. Just beware that there are multiple levels and lots of stairs to navigate. The full bath rooms are one floor up or one floor down. There is a tub shower in the upstairs bathroom that would be difficult for an elderly or person with physical disability to get in and out of safely. Slippery and no grab bars.
We had a group of 4 adults (1 couple, 2 singles). The house worked very well for our group. We walked to and around Lake Harriett several times during our stay. Also walked to restaurants and Turtle Bread Bakery for great breakfasts. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. Plenty of towels. Having the washer/dryer was great to have available.Would stay again.
We came up to the Twin Cities for our high schoolers spring break and to spend our college students birthday. He attends U of Minn. We did an Escape Game, visited Minnesota Zoo, saw St Paul Cathedral and Wabasha Street Caves. The house was in a great central location. There was plenty is space. Really like the Lake Harriet area vibe. House was super clean and plenty of extras.
This house was a fantastic find. We had figured it would be more space than our family of four would need, but as it turned out we loved having the space to spread out so comfortably, with lots of cozy nooks. The house was immaculate, well furnished with modern decor, and well equipped with everything we needed. And the location canât be beat, walkable to fantastic shops and restaurants, parks and of course the lake. Highly recommend.
Very nice property - clean, well equipped and in very nice neighborhood. Ben, the host, was very responsive during our stay to a couple of questions. The property is on a relatively busy street and is on a flight path for MSP. While sitting on the front porch was noisy, the inside of the house was relatively quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would stay at the property again.
Property is ideally located for enjoying the city.
Very clean and well thought out decor
Very comfortable in all respects
Ben was immediately responsive to all questions
Would recommend without reservation
