Its the perfect spot for 1 couple with 2 kids or in our case 1 couple and 1 extra adult. Everything works and the rooms and furnishings were comfortable.
The property was perfect for our anniversary weekend. We enjoyed everything that was available to us especially the little patio for games. Location was great as we spent time downtown Minocqua.
Thanks again!
It was very nice to have all the amenities of home- kitchen, laundry, grill, etc. . . The property was clean and besides the neighbors 5 or 6 dogs barking for hours at a time one evening, it was pretty peaceful. Great proximity to all the fun of Minocqua. The host was amazing with communicating and responding quickly with answers to questions. We had a fantastic time!
The interior of the lake side of this duplex was tastefully updated recently. There is a pond viewable from the kitchen, but the lake is beyond just to the left of the pond. There's a pier and kayaks are available. I was told by the residents of the other unit, that the fishing for panfish and bass is very good. All in all, a nice spot for a small family.
This was just perfect! Extremely clean, cottage style, yet modern conveniences and just darling decor! (Not too feminine tho, Guys!) The peace and quiet of this property was just the ticket. Super close to groceries and all the stuff you forgot to pack (lol) and yet very quiet and peaceful. Oh! And a very comfy mattress and cozy throw blankets! A definite A++ from me and cant wait go visit again!
Cute little duplex. Newly renovated. Close to town. It was a hike to the lake and the dock could use some maintenance. I was disappointed that we did not know that the central air did not work, as that was one reason why we chose to stay there. Yes there were window air conditioners, but it never got below 72 degrees in the cottageâŠtoo hot to sleep decent. Also, there were lots of flies that would get in the cottage. At one time I counted 10. (I know itâs the time of year) and there was no fly swatter that I could find. Overall, I would stay there again if the central air were fixed.
We are not new to the Minocqua area. Family summer home from 1928 until 2014 on Mercer Lake. We came up for a nephewâs wedding. Looked for a place close to Minocqua. There is not a lakeview on this unit, but my son went fishing everyday using a kayak (provided) on the lake behind, about 50 yards away.
Really appreciated having air conditioning in August. The beds were so comfortable, great furniture, the only thing I would recommend is a lamp in the living area. AND maybe a small chest of drawers in both bedrooms. The bathrooms were perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed plus appliances not listed in amenities. Having some spices there and condiments was a plus.
We enjoyed sitting outside. The neighbors (who live in the unit next door) were so nice. Just knowing someone was so close was a plus.
We were close to everything we did the week we were there. We have family who live in Minocqua so we will be coming yearly. We will definitely stay here again.
Overall the place was very nice and cozy. The listing was spot on for the inside and the overall feel of the place. Bathrooms and bedrooms were nice and all the amenities worked fine. Very nice short drive into town as well. However both neighbors were problematic. The neighbor in the attached unit came out right after we got there (approximately 2pm) and was in his underwear. Although he was friendly, it was a very odd sight for the first thing after arriving. The across the street neighbor has 3 outdoor dogs. This massively disrupted our dogs as they would bark randomly, including at night. Lastly, the lake was EXTREMELY muddy and was not swimable by either dogs or humans (or at least I don't think would be clean or healthy). So overall positive but surrounding factors ruined some of the experience.
Clean and quaint place. Well appointed and great decor. Itâs not on a lake but one is nearby. There is also a pond but needs to be cleaned up. Good location to Minocqua and Boulder Junction.
