Great Location

Location to the beach is fabulous. We rented chair service so didn't have to drag much back and forth. The AC on the second floor stopped working twice but was repaired quickly. Also, the kitchen was lacking and a bit unorganized but we managed. Overall, a great rental.

Pros - 4 masters with ensuite baths, plenty of hot water, A/C worked great, clean, nice beds, easy beach access, good for multi-family gathering.Cons - layout is a bit awkward with living area on 2nd floor, kitchen is small, lack of storage for non-refrigerated food made it difficult to cook for 14 people, pool is small for adults, good for small children. Would give 4.5 stars.

April Stay

We had a really good time. First day was a bit rainy but then the rest of week was filled with sunshine. The beach is so nice covered in soft white sand with clear clean water. The house was clean and an easy walk to the beach. The pool is nice to relax bye in the evenings. We liked Miramar beach better than Destin only because the beach bye the house wasn’t crowded and it was nice to sit and relax. Destin is nice as far as party life but busy. Only thing we wish the house had were beach chairs and beach towels. You can rent them on the beach but they are costly. We will visit again.Barry

Wonderful Stay!

The beach house was beautiful and easily accommodated all 18 of us! We had a minute walk to the beach and a multitude of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Todd was quick to reply to any questions we had. I highly recommend this place for a great getaway with family and/or friends!

Great location

Fun family of 20 get together. Close to beach and was not crowded!! Bedding was comfortable. Really close to shopping. Ifneed to park elseware use Santa Rosa Walmart.

Beautiful home and great location

Todd was extremely helpful and was always quick to answer any questions we had. We got married during our stay and it was absolutely perfect. The house was beautiful and very clean. It was a great location, right next to the beach.

Great trip for a group

We had a group of 17 and everyone had a comfortable place to stay. The rooms and bathrooms were a good size. A few minutes walk to a private beach was a plus!! Kitchen was well stocked. It was clean and the paddle boards were super fun! I do think some of the pictures are misleading. There is a TON of construction going on and a giant house being built and blocks the “ocean view” and there was definitely some photoshopping done around the pool area. There is a house right next door and the pics show it as open space. So the lack of any type of view was disappointing since it talks about in the description. Overall, we had a great time!

Perfect beach getaway

Loved this house! It had everything we needed for a nice beach getaway with friends. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Short walk to the beach. Pool was definitely a bonus!

Nice house, inaccurate listing

The home itself was very nice. The layout was great for our group, and we loved being so close to the beach. We also enjoyed the pool, although it was smaller than expected. Our issue is that the photos and descriptions we saw online when we booked were no longer accurate at the time of our stay. Between our booking and our stay, a house was built that blocked the "panoramic ocean views" pictured and described in the listing. The quiet neighborhood street they described had become a loud, crowded construction zone, and we had construction debris falling on the property and on us while swimming in the pool. We don't hold the owners responsible for construction next door, but we are upset that we were never notified of the change prior to our stay or offered any compensation for the discrepancy between what we purchased and the reality of the property now. In fact, while they rightfully reduced the cost of the house for future rentals (we paid more than $1500 more than if we booked the same week for the same number of days next year), we weren’t offered any kind of similar rate reduction. That panoramic view and peaceful street were expensive and didn't exist when we got there. As of now, they've updated the aerial photos, but the interior photos online still show and describe the panoramic view. Please be aware, those descriptions and photos are no longer accurate. We did try contacting the property owner and got nothing more than an autoreply back.

Large home steps from the beach!

Large home with nice set up of 2 bunk rooms and 4 king suites. Steps from the beach which was just wonderful! Great communication from owner— second year I have rented from him. Very responsive maintenance team for minor issue. Well stocked kitchen. Washer dryer worked very well. Only suggestion is bring board games for kids on rainy days as TV options are limited.

Great Vacation!

We all had a wonderful time during our stay here! We booked this house back before it had any reviews so we took a gamble. We are so glad we did! The short walk to the beach and the private pool was the best part! We used the paddle boards that were at the property as well. We had plenty of space for our guests and it was great to have several bathrooms for that many people getting ready in the morning. Everything felt very clean and the communication was great. We were also within 10-15 minutes of walking distance to several stores and restaurants, which was very helpful. We would definitely recommend!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay here. However the ac went out on the second floor half way through our visit and it was really uncomfortable. The owner answered promptly though and had it fixed within a couple of hours. The pictures on the website depict an easier path to the beach from the house but now there is a new house being built that somewhat inhibits the pathway but still not a huge issue. Enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Successful Beach Getaway

We had a great experience at Shipwatch. We took a gamble by reserving this home while it was still a new listing without any reviews, and we were not disappointed. The property manager was very attentive to any needs we had. We had 5 families stay in the house with 19 total people ranging from 65 to two months old. Having a bathroom in nearly every room made it easy to have multiple families. Being one row off the beach was just fine for our family as there was a public access boardwalk. It took about 30 seconds to get to the beach. The pool was also nice, even though it was smaller than we expected. The sun hit it just right in the morning to make it an enjoyable experience. The kitchen was fully stocked. We were able to cook all our meals at the house. *One thing to note, some of the aerial photos on the listing are outdated as there has been constuction of a few new homes since the photo was taken, so there isn't as much of an ocean view as there used to be. Overall, we loved our beach getaway. It was a wonderful space to connect as an extended family!! Thank you.

Short walk to the beach!!

We will definitely be returning. Very clean and plenty of room. We had 22 people and we didn't feel cramped. The beach access was steps from the house so while some of us played in the pool others relaxed at the beach. The protery manager answered all out our question very quickly as well. We all were so pleased with this property.
