401A feels neglected
The unit feels neglected, abandoned, and the Vacasa team initially tried to help but then quit. When we first checked in we noticed that the floors were not fully swept, light bulbs were missing from a bathroom, and hand soap was missing from one bathroom. Vacasa sent a cleaning person to sweep and mop the floors. The sent a maintenance guy about the lights, he said he needed to get the right bulbs, but we never saw him again. So we bathed in a dimly lit bathroom for a few days. And they never provided us with hand soap in the master bath. Those were all minor issues, the biggest issue was the living room couch. First both the couch and the love seat had very worn cushions that hadn't been cleaned or refreshed in years. The couch actually sagged when you sat on it, so we removed the cushions only to find thin wood slats. Apparently the springs had given way and someone put wood pieces underneath for support. Underneath the cushions we also found an Old Spice deodorant roll-on, lots of crumbs, and shrimp tail. See the picture attached. We told Vacasa about the inoperable couch, and they never came by to address it; they didn't even come to vacuum up the crumbs or remove the Old Spice deodorant stick. This was a holiday weekend, so it seems like there's no one on duty to help. The one Vacasa maintenance guy admitted they were down a few people.Overall, Beach House is a sad property, with small boxy rooms. I would avoid this development, especially the 401A unit.
